Wanting to build or buy a cash set.... Budget under $1500 / Advise? (2 Viewers)

I'd personnally drop the .25 chip, use a .50 and have these blinds instead : .50-0.50, 0.50-1 and 1-2.
If you really want quarters, you can still do .25-.50, 1-1 and 1-2.
I'm saying because personnally, I have a 2-chip small blinds in a cash game.
If you don't mind a 2-chip small blind, then you can opt for a quarter.

Anyway, to cover your needs, you would need for a 10 person game :

Frac x 100
1 x 200
5 x 200
25 x 160
100 x 40
500 x 20 (if you play with more than 100BB in your 1-2 game).

This makes 720 chips in total. Making a budget of $2.08 per chip.
You can go with inlaid chips on the horsehead mold for example.

Making for instance fracs as solid ($1.61 each for inlaid chips).
And other chips as level 1 ($2.05 each for inlaid chips).

You can choose to go with hotstamps and stay in your budget.
Having the same stamp on one side and the denomination on the other side.
I'll also allow you to add the Circle & Square mold option (on top the A-mold or Horse Head mold) if you like it.

You can create an awesome set even with level 1. I know it's not CPC (it's a C&J) set but it can give some inspiration for a L1 max set :

NB : for a 1-2 game, I'd personally definitely go with custom chips for security reasons.

If you are good with casino used I can fix you up with a set of Aztars. PM me if you are interested, but if you don’t want casino used no problem.

The problem with some sets is the multiples of value. Like having a .25 and .50 chip makes no sense. Its more flexible to have .25 to 1 to 5 to 20 to 100. This way you can play different stakes and chip up if needed. The .50 is only times 2 increment.

So you don't end up paying for weird/less used denoms and... scratch your head on extra labels if you go full custom on the design.

Imho, 50c to 1 jump in cash is as fine as the 500 to 1000 jump in tournaments.
These are the only 2x transitions that do not really bother me.

I was looking at the atlantic cpc set for a similar stakes cash game, do you think there is really any cost savings vs a low level customization? It doesnt appear so.

Probably not any significant cost savings. If you can wait, I personally would go custom versus Atlantic Club.

So like I said. I spent a little more than I budgeted for but have no regrets. Some have asked for some HSI pron, so here it is

The great thing about spending a little more than you expect on a set like this…the value of these will hold or maybe increase, so it is an investment. Use them…enjoy them…and if you ever need to, get your money back.
