I saw this listing in FB marketplace. It states vintage poker chips and that’s it. I messaged the seller to ask if they were plastic or clay. Anyone have any info?

Definitely clay. Worth getting if cheap. Not gonna be worth a lot, but decent chips of you can use them yourself.

Believe this is the hub (?) mold. I'll check
They’re asking $160 for the lot. Estimating around 500 chips.

Yup, hub mold. Have only handled the 5 random hub molds I bought as part of a larger lot.

Mine are very, very light.

They are vintage clay, hub mold as previously identified. They are probably worth about 25c per chip if in good condition, so price is not too far off. I'd say they are 80 years old.

I think they might be from the Crescent Hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Lots of old gangsters played cards there. You should check it out online.

The CCC monogram on Hub Mold was used there in the 30s

Basically these are the chips i am looking for in my wanted ad and i would love to get the blue ones and the pink ones.

I would also be willing to buy the entire set. Please let me know the sellers details if you don't plan to get them yourselves.

They are not. What you show here is DiaSq and not the hub mold. It's pretty similar though and i thought about using some of the weighted DiaSq as add ons to my hub mold set too. But their diameter is a tad smaller.
Are the hub mold chips as light as these?

Actually it depends... They were made in three different weights, B-9, B-10 and B-11 with B-9 being the lightest and approximately around the DiaSq you posted. B-11 on the other hand can be above 11gr and is leaded afaik.

Also there is actually two different versions of the hub mold, with the older one being a bit more rectanglish and the newer one a bit more narrow to the inner circle.

This is the newer version of the mold. Newer means being made in the 50s-60s and not the 40s by the way.

Also, these are the chips i am looking for and inreally want them

I seen these bad boys too! Somewhere in northern Indiana I think. I asked about shipping w/o the metal tray and got no reply.

These aren’t bad for a small cash game. I want to buy them just so I can clean them!

Timmah helped me with the purchase... So far no one on Facebook classifieds in the US ever answered me. Not sure if they even get the messages in standard settings if you are too far away. Or it is my profile pic as well

Ha ok I see how it works. I thought that my feedback score from here transferred to fb. #blackballed

The logo looks different from what’s on the MOGH and the order card doesn’t have anything about a yellow chip. You never know with illegal casinos but doesn’t seem like they would place multiple orders.

Love the Hub mold chips. At first I didn’t, but they kinda grew on me over time and now I really appreciate them. A buddy had a bunch we would use for games sometimes and they are actually quite nice (although many are very light).

Big fan of the Mason’s Hub chips.
