Hi guys, I bought these chips for $25 on marketplace. I really like them, especially for a small (3-5 player) impromptu game. Does anyone know what they’re made of, or have any details on them? And don’t worry, my next set will be customs from BRPro ;)
Anyways, any info would be appreciated

I could be wrong, but they look like old bakelite chips. Not worth much, but they have a cool vibe, and that carrier looks pretty neat.

Thank you. I wanted an old-timey set lol. My next one is my custom Florida sports set, and then a more classic set that I’m still brainstorming

Those are “smoothies”. An early “clay” formula. They are more important to modern poker chip development than most people know.

Do tell! Was it early experimentation with compression molding or high heat or something?
