Poker is not dead. Maybe all the chips I bought at top of the market will come back in value. Lol

I like the current poker room at the Venetian. From the article:

the new poker room will feature a self-serve soda fountain and coffee machine, dedicated restrooms, TVs throughout the room and USB and USB-C charging ports at every seat.

Perhaps most interestingly, the new Venetian poker room will include a dedicated streaming room "allowing players to coordinate a vlogging session and provid(ing) the ability to stream tournament final tables and cash games."

This sounds pretty cool actually

HDP goes to Vegas!

Guess who's gearing up to host WSOP
Zero chance. Has to be a Caesar’s property. But Venetian runs great tourneys.
Wonder if this mean new mint chips
That would make it a GRAND opening!

But overall this is great news. It was a huge bummer when they took out 20% of the room a few years ago for electronic roulette and slots.

In addition I would trust their steam.

The Venetian is my favorite poker room. Anyone have any cut cards from there, I'm interested.

I was there this past weekend and they were not open yet. The 2nd level did have a lot of walled off areas that advertised the new poker room that was coming soon. This would be a great location as walking to play poker at the wynn was quite a hike from the Venetian area.

Where in those canal shops is it? Any restaurant you remember it being close to?

When you exit the Venetian into the canal shops, it's upstairs near some stores at the end of the gondola area. I think near Michael Kors.

Edit: Found a video that walks from the old poker room to the new room location.

Their X account says they are doing a grand opening on Aug 1st too.

I’ll be there day 1 to check it out! Can’t wait.. always loved their room but Orleans has free parking….

What does the $3/hr mean? New to this
When you use your players card at the table when you sit down they issue $3 for every hour onto your card to be used at restaurants and other outlets at Venetian. Most, if not all, poker rooms do this. The standard is $1 to $2 so $3 is pretty good.

Thanks, good to know. Do you know if they give tier points as well for poker? Don't gamble a whole lot but still made Sapphire recently from spending at the resort I guess

As far as I know, if you play enough you will move up through the tiers… but it will take much longer than just regular slots or tables.

Spending money at a resort gives you points faster too. If you eat at any restaurants connect to them, bill the charge to the room for quick points.

Jaman has a new vlog up that centers around the new Venetian poker room grand opening.

Was there a week ago. Pros: new, clean. Espresso machines surprisingly good. Had best chicken shawarma of my life at Miznon just downstairs.

Cons: feels like you’re in a mall (you are lol), lighting too bright, tables crowded together. Crowd at 1/3 more interested in high hand jackpot than playing poker.

Stack ranking for me of the popular rooms: (1) Aria (1a) Bellagio (3) Wynn (4) Venetian.

IMO Aria and Wynn are interchangeable as the top rooms in Vegas. Seems to be if you like a bit darker ambiance Aria is the ticket and if you like a little more light the Wynn takes the top spot. Bellagio is number two behind those ones and is strictly getting by on the history the room has but to be honest it’s run down and in need of an update or remodel to bring it up to form. The other rooms around town just blend in to mediocrity. As more rooms shut down around town it will be interesting to see which rooms remain a few years from now.
