RainmanTrail
Royal Flush
Part 1
After running into several different chips not fitting inside the 39mm air-tites, I became curious about the difference in diameters between the various molds that are out there. This is no where near a comprehensive list of all the molds that are out there, but it's all the molds I could find in my collection. Enjoy...
TRK scrown mold chips - I was pretty amazed by how consistent all of my old school mint TRK chips are. The newer TRKs (made from the mid 80s onward) are a hair smaller. Perhaps the difference is with the leaded vs non-leaded chips? Either way, the old school leaded TRKs are pretty much all 38.91mm +/- 0.02mm, which also happens to be the tolerance of my digital calipers. So there is quite literally no statistically significant discernible difference at all among my sampling of old school TRKs. Pretty awesome! And just one more reason why TRKs reign supreme.
TRK lcrown mold
Paulson THC mold - a little more variability with these, but still pretty good. The one on the right might be a C&J chip, but I'm not certain.
Paulson RHC mold - or as I like to call it; the "no thanks" mold
Paulson no mold
Paulson house molds
Paulson mold
Paulson Roulette mold
Nintendo mold
Paulson Horseshoe mold
