I've been on vacation for the last couple weeks, only got a little poker in but the stars have (or haven't) aligned and I intend to play the next 5 days in a multitude of "venues". Let's see how it goes . . .

I may or may not add on more $$, hopefully not ;)

Evening 1 (Wednesday):

My friends annual New Years Eve game. $21 ($15 + $5 bounty + $1 high hand)dollar turbo hold 'em tournament. Always a great time with some people I don't get to see that often. Steve is actually a neighbor only about 4 blocks away.

T22,000 starting

3 tables, 24 players. I'm seated directly next to the smiling host at 100% the toughest table, nearly all crush and other 2 tables filled with recs. We're here to have fun, and we do!

Collecting 100s before break and chipping up.

Oddly enough, 6 of us are playing the 7/2 game (in a tourney?). 200/400 I'm utg with 72o and call with 5 players. 2 on flop, checked to me I stab 800, all fold but host (bb). 7 on turn, bb check, I bet 1000, bb folds. Collect $5 from all playing 7/2. Woo hoo I guess lol.

AA run down with gut shot to make K high straight, bleach. . .

1000006064.webp

My buddy Brad (former casino dealer) trying my 2026 glasses. He gets short stacked over and over but keeps coming back (finishes 4th & in the $$).

I make final table but bust out 7th. Blinds 5000/10,000, I shove KQo from middle position and called by blinds with weaker holdings. Small hits a J and off I go.

Always a blast here and a great group of people!

Evening 2 (Thursday):

Got invited to @EnjoyLife game. This is one fun group of players and an AWESOME chip set, Jack Detroits! As it was New Years day, an early start of 2:00 p.m. since alot of people were on vacation. .50/1 $100 max until 5ish then $175 max.

Starting stack

Slowly making an little uphill climb. Random bomb pots have kept the winnings down, haven't gotten a piece of anything. . .

Then I call off vs. the loose/passive guy that finally makes a full house against my trips. He's blasting off like a madman so hopefully it comes back & more.

Green chips (watermelons) in play !

Mid game stack, doing decent and having fun. Played nit game after alot of bomb pots and managed to lose my button super fast every round. Never had to pay nit penalty.

Unfortunately, that's the last of the pictures. Managed to cash out $290 + host tip so good night. We wrapped up with last orbit @ midnight followed by a bomb pots so around 10 hours with a 15 minute dinner break.

Always a great time albeit just under an hour away.

Evening 3 (Friday):

The regular Friday night tournament. It's been a minute since I was able to play the game due to travel & etc. Had 18 players and it was a blast!

Starting stack

The whole gang, all great people. Managed to get a couple from the pool room to join us in the future. Having a blast and chipping up nicely really early.

King Tut made an appearance tonight.

1000006105.webp

Adam and Dawn, played with these two well over 10 years together. Still chipping up, a handful eliminated.

1000006109.webp

"Doc", Gary, Danny & Adam, 3 of 4 are tough players . . . Lol (who you think is the easy to read calling station?)

1000006106.webp

And, this was the end of me when 33 held. Out 11th, missed the final table and $$. Will be back again & again with this group!

Evening 4 (Saturday):

You ever play somewhere (or with a group) that is a s4itshow everytime? Why do I/we punish ourselves . . .

$30 tourney with 99% loose/passive players & dice chips to top it off.

1000006132.webp

Yes, you are seeing that right. Our stacks are taped together with painters tape, sharpies with your table & seat .

1000006134.webp

Starting stack, 4 of each color & 1 gray (T5000) I ask the host, what's our starting stack and she replies "4 of each color" , okay?

White - T25
Red - T50
Blue - T100
Green - T500
Blue - T1000

The gangs all here

T10,000 add on at break for $10, why not
`\(••)/`

My stackjust before busting out . . .

Hero: AcKc
Villain: KJo
J on river

Oh well, got to whine about the entire game my head driving home and to wife for at least 20 minutes after I get home. I brought her Chick-fil-A nugs so she nods and says uh-huh while snacking lol.

Great write up. The painters tape and sharpie starting stack buy in takes the cake tho. It is bad enough they are using dice chips but that just is an exclamation point. Please refer the host to our Forum.

Day 5 (Sunday):

Dang, I forgot to update! Anyhow, Sunday. You know where I'm at.

4/8 O8 with a 1/2 kill. Let's get this party started.

1000006152.webp

Chipping up, this game is a grind but some of these regulars show up every Sunday and like to play every single hand.

1000006154.webp

Do these guys look happy to be here? I dunno, played with "sock hat" ALot of years, 25ish?. Im still winning !

1000006157.webp

This is somewhere near the end, up to about 370ish. Good day, time for my complimentary chicken tenders and the drive home.

1000006158.webp

So, final results? Looks like cash games were the big winner and managed 0 tourney cashes . . .

Funny, I've always THOUGHT I played better at tournies and less schooled at cash.

Overall a good 5 days but im tired.

Until SRQ !
