I’ve been brainstorming on how many chips I’ll need in total to host a two table (12-14 seat) tournament. I’m fairly new at hosting, but used to hosting a 6 person game with 600 chips to draw from. The usual lineup of denoms is:

16: T5
10: T25
10: T50
10: T100
2: T500
1: T1,000

My dilemma is if I host a two table event how more chips should I get and of what denoms? My initial thought is to get 1,200 chips total, but wondering what the pros would suggest.

You only need 600 for 2 tables of 10, T50 chip is useless so you can drop those.

20-player T5-base tourney set (10/10/7/x):
200 x T5
200 x T25
140 x T100
60 x T500
---------------
600 chips

You can get more T500/T1K if you want a deeper rebuy tourney.
