debating getting a new set of (possibly custom) tournament chips in the next few months and was wondering if there were multiple standard color themes for a t25 base tournament set?

There are a few. Green is the most common 25, black for 100 and purple/violet for 500.

After that it gets much more varies. California uses a different color set entirely.

Standard colors seem to be green T25
Black T100, purple T500, yellow T1000, Orange or Blue T5000. But different colors are ok too.
I havent seen a blue T5000 before, i like the idea of that much more than orange

thats the one I see most, any idea what the California tourney colors are? ive only seen the different colors they have for cash.

The Jack Cincinnati tournament solids have a blue T5000. I have a set / white inlay set.

Fuck it! Mix colors with cross denominations and make every bet a 25 minute chart study. Really speed the night along.

Standard colors are best but if you go with different colors make sure your denominations are clearly printed

common non-CA casino colors:
5 red
25 green
100 black
500 purple (orange in MO)
1000 orange, yellow (purple in MO)
5000 gray, pink, white
25000 blue, dark green

common Cali casino/cardroom colors:
5 yellow
25 purple
100 white
500 blue
1000 brown
5000 gray, orange (but varies widely)

I’m about to order these. I’m doing a T100 set. I went with the standard casino colors. (Casinos near me)

Two thoughts:

1. If you are getting customs and you don't report to a jurisdictional Gaming Control Board, you should knock yourself out and do what you like.

2. The two common traditional set ups are used for a reason. They work.

Find your peace between these two paths.

Exactly. I play in a number of games that almost all use the same set of colors. So I went Black 100, Violet 500, Yellow 1000, Orange 5000 and I went Green with my 25k because I liked the green WSOP chips they used for a long time.
