Hi everyone,
I have owned the Costco Barrington table for a while now and I'm definitely going to pull it apart to upgrade the notoriously shallow stock cupholders. The depth is obviously a safety hazard for beers, but I’m running into a bit of a dilemma regarding the new diameter and wanted to get the community's consensus before I buy a hole saw.
Right now, the stock diameter fits a standard 12oz can or beer bottle perfectly. If I bite the bullet and go the standard PCF route with the 3.5" Jumbo stainless steel drop-ins, won't standard cans and bottles just flop around, clink, and sit crooked?
For those of you who did the jumbo 3.5" upgrade:
Is the "can wiggle" annoying in practice, or do you just get used to it?
What are the main benefits of going full jumbo?

What is the actual sweet spot for a home game table? Can I get away with a slightly smaller diameter to keep the cans secure, or will I regret not going full 3.5" down the road?
Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences before I start drilling holes....
