Took the plunge! Pics now! (2 Viewers)

I think this is pretty much what everyone uses, only like $8.95 at your local CVS. A little bit goes a long long way. There is a thread all about oiling and how to do it.

I looked at those threads a lot last night. Just have to make it to Walmart at some point to grab a bottle. Thanks

Glad you got lots of $25, $100, and $500 denominations so that the chips on your table can look like the movie scenes with Mike and KGB :) Are you using denominations for 'cents' or is it a tournament set?

CSQ chips will break in quicker than some other molds as it falls somewhere in the middle from a texture perspective. I also have H molds, which have a heavier texture, and they took longer to break in. To give you an idea of what broken in CPC edges look like, check out 2011 pics of the sharp vs 2021 pics of the broken in edges in this thread:

This is a tournament set for 10 people. Went on YT and found a video of “ the perfect start stack” and just screen shot it and ordered those quantities. I have monte Carlo’s for a cash set.

Suggestion would be to buy double the Justin racks and just sell the ones that didn’t fit. Not the best but a possible solution.
I would assume the problem is that some CPCs stack taller than others, not that the justin racks vary a couple mms one way or the other. But please somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Don't be afraid to enter the CPC world, goddammit!
Ask me any questions in private.

@SteveEH - I think you might have been referring to my picture with your comment about quantities. I think the OP only ordered 320 total chips. I have 1,500 in my tourney set and a separate cash set of quarters through $5s.

My tournaments are $5k starting stack and we usually get 24-26 players and sometimes up to 32.

With 24 or less players we start with the following:

$25s - 20
$100s - 20
$500s - 3
$1k - 1

If we have 25 or more I got to:

$25s - 16
$100s - 16
$500s - 4
$1k - 1

And yeah, my players love stacks, I tried cutting the starting chip count down one time to be more "efficient" and everyone complained.

How did the edges seem when breaking in? Do the round out or wear down? Mine seem almost sharp? If that makes sense
CPC edges don’t wear like paulson because the material is harder. They get smoother to shuffle, but will never really “bike tire”. It’s a nice factor in my opinion.

Very nice!

I just pulled the trigger on a set of Rounders as well.. paid but haven’t heard back from them about ETA or shipping. How long does it usually take for them to send out the non-custom chips?

My orders of stock items from them have shipped out within a few days.
