My guess: about tree-fiddy
I feel like the anticipation is about the same for this as there was for the release of the JFK filesWe will not release the number of bids until it is over
While not technically accurate I have to assume someone mentioning a specific time using 6pm EST during a time of year that is actually 6pm EDT means 6pm in New York on the specified day regardless of how it's tagged. Now for the smart aleck but somewhat serious question that just came to mind while looking over the listing, deciding for the 50th time whether or not to bid... Since we're still on daylight savings will this auction end at 7:00 EDT (6:00 EST)?

Faaaaar too confusing to the point of making no sense at all otherwise
Insurance and collectibles are verboten in an IRA.
Backdoor roth = traditional non-deductible IRA contribution converted to a Roth IRA. Works slick if no other taxable IRA assets. No so slick if you have other taxable IRA accounts, because you count all of your IRA assets when you figure taxation on your conversion. Its pro-rata taxable/aftertax money for your IRA taxation in a conversion. If you have any taxable IRA balances, you will end up with pre-tax and after-tax money in your traditional IRA...paperwork pain and you've not deducted your contribution PLUS paid taxes on the conversion.
Real estate, shares in private companies are permissible as long as they are arms length. IRS very serious about prohibited transactions because those transactions allow the taxpayer to control value, therefore taxation ... which is why they're prohibited if not handled correctly.
Should be contest = closest to the winning price without going over --- gets a prize.....
I don't think my bid is going to win, but if it does I got some explaining to do to my wife
I’ll guess your bid was 2349, because I was gonna guess the lowest winning bid was 2350.Like lets make a deal - my bid was some combination of these numbers
0 2 3 4 9
I’ll guess your bid was 2349, because I was gonna guess the lowest winning bid was 2350.
Good luck, folks!
There were 3 bids that missed the clearing price by less than $25.
First of all thanks to everyone for bidding and following the rules! This seemed like it went really well, so we will try it again for the Native Lights Secondary chips. More to be posted soon.
Here are the results.
32 bids
The clearing price for the 7 sets is $1665.00
I will be sending out the invoices to the lucky winners.
Interesting notes: There was only 2 bids that were for exactly the same price. There were 3 bids that missed the clearing price by less than $25.
Thanks again, Jim
