Here is how it's going to work.
There will be 7 sets of chips up for auction.

1) One set per household.
2) Submit bid via PM ONLY.

3) Bids must be received by Sunday, October 29th at 6:00 PM EST.
4) Minimum Bid of $1000
5) You may bid more than once, but your last bid is your final bid.
6) All bids are binding

7) Bid must include your name and PayPal email address for billing.
8) The lowest price of the highest 7 bids, will be the clearing price for all 7 sets.
example: 1 bid at $4000, 2 bid $3500, 2 bid $3400, 1 bid at $3350, 1 bid at $3200, all other bids are lower. The clearing price will be $3200 and all 7 of the highest bidders will receive the set at $3200. **In the event of a tie on the 7th bid, 1st bid received will be the winner**
9) Clearing price is exclusive of shipping. ($15.95 US, $48.95 Canada, $74.95 International)
10) All winners will receive a PayPal invoice for their set which must be paid in 2 days.
11) We will post the clearing price within 24 hours of the auction close. We will not post the winners names for privacy, but you can post your name (not bid) if you like.
12) After the auction is complete, there will be a limited number of additional racks that will go to eBay, so you can add on to your sets.
13) I reserve the right to: i) cancel the auction if less than 7 bids have been made; ii) edit the listing to correct errors or clarify rules as needed.

RULES (Please Read)
1) Bids are private and your amount may not be posted in the thread or anywhere on PCF.
2) Pricing strategies or advice may not be posted on this thread or anywhere on PCF.

Any violation of the rules or people found to be colluding on prices or pricing strategies will be banned from this sale and any future Chip Room sales. Additionally, if collusion is found, the auction may be cancelled.

Thanks, Jim

Jim, that looks like a great idea !

Can you just clarify #8 for me?
8) states " The Lowest price of the highest 7 bids, will be the clearing price for all 7 sets"
but in the example below it, it shows the 5th lowest bid being the clearing price.

thanks.

Resolved TY. Poor reading skill/

There were two bids at $3500 and two at $3400 in the example.

I like how he's giving everyone a shot again, and said no collusion

And within 15 posts someone starts doing that.

I do like the format. For a board gamer like me, there is a game and a meta game, and those decisions fascinate me.

This is a really great idea Jim and I think it will still net you a lot of money! :)

Man, those Tonk $5s remind me of the Terrible MT secondary $5s. Great colors
