Cool man! Definitely my biggest sale regret in my short time.

I had 2 mint racks, and when I decided I wasnt going to do a Jack cash set, I sold them. I forgot to consider how cool it would have been to keep them, and use them as T5 base chips for a cool set totally missing any red at all on any chip. Just the $5k primary edgespots, but no other nice red.

Ive got 1 rack. Very recent private deal! Will keep my eyes peeled for some used chips for a better price.
 
Definitely a great place. If it weren't for PCF I may still think my only Paulson chip options were WTHCs, Classics and CDI 05s!

After being here for a while I realize that chips aren't everything. If I had to choose between a game with great chips and miserable people or dice chips and a great game with friends I know what I'm choosing. This is the place to find the best of both worlds!

I'm sure I must have overpaid for my fair share of chips but I have no one but myself to blame for that. If you look around and are a nice person you probably don't even have to buy a set of nice/expensive chips for yourself to get an opportunity to play with some.
 
Am I too late to say that I've found everything I was looking for and more. Sold everything I was finished with. Learned more than I thought was possible. Made tons of friends and have been thoroughly entertained by 99% of PCF members? You 1% know who you are even though I blocked you...
 
I'm not a next-level poker chip expert like most of you. But I would say I definitely find a lot of great information on this forum. I own probably 10,000+ chips - mostly low and middle class. Dice chips, NexGens, Casino Royales, Milanos, Nile Clubs. I love them all. It's often very hard to find good, accurate information on these kinds of chips from people who actually own them and have played with them. So THANK YOU to all of you for your great posts, fun atmosphere, and helpfulness. This is a great place for those of us who love poker chips!
 
My only problem with this forum is all them damned squinty-eyed moose-riding, maple-shot-taking, ill-intent making canadians, USA USA USA!!

And people still flock to Vegas every year, so there's that. 42.5 million last year.
 
I don't like to see anyone banned from the forum, but tell me Bergs wasn't trying to test the limits, going as far as he could without saying I dare you to the mods.

Although I would like to see the other members back, I doubt that JButler would have been stoic in the aftermath of Berg's banning. As the saying goes: "The hand kind of plays itself."

That leaves Chicken Rob. Not sure why he got the boot. Even less sure that it is subject open for discussion.
 
My observations on this thread:

1. I’m relatively new here & I really appreciate this forum. It’s the biggest part of my internet day.
2. This monologue from CASINO is my all time favorite. When I’m in Vegas, there isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t work into a conversation, “In the old days, dealers knew your name, what you drank, what you played. Today it’s like checking into an airport.”
3. @Tommy avatar is Ace Rothstein from CASINO, which is awesome!

And that’s that.

I was once prohibited from perusing the Classifieds after a transgression with respect to bid retraction. I learned my lesson and Tommy was lenient and willing to first hear me out. Great person to be running things here!
 
I'm sure there are some things that have changed but it seems like there are some great people on here. I asked about CC's the first day i signed up, and got 3 PM's from guys willing to send me free chips. Just pay the shipping and you can have them! I will say, Las vegas is nothing like what it used to be. My dad used to talk about how good the buffets were, comps, and all kinds of cool stories. I went for the first time 2 years ago and stayed at the mandalay bay. FOOD SUCKED at the buffet. Restaurants were good if you paid the money and i forgot if alcohol was free for gamblers?

^This^ is why I think this is 1/2 send up, 1/2 lament to the old days. The “casino” ripoff aspect made me laugh, but the lament is just another rephrasing of a thought that’s started at least three other threads in the last couple months.

Allow me to add a lament of my own? The “search” thread is very effective on this site. ;). j/k

And just to add my kudos, in the last 24 hours I had 5 transactions with 5 people I have never met before in my life where we exchanged around $1000 dollars, sight unseen, for various chips. I did it with no thought that stuff wouldn't be delivered as advertised, etc. I cant imagine another site/forum like that.
