Finally added a Tudor Black Bay 58 to my humble collection. Planning to make this my everyday watch. So far about a month in I've worn it 26/30 days including work days. Absolutely loving it! Total strap monster.

I really like the BB 58, been looking at one myself. They were hard to beat prior to their 2025 price increase. They still are honestly, for a daily driver - they’re perfectly fit for purpose!

Congrats on the pick up. -great watch!!

Speaking of strap monsters, I recently picked up this single piece elastic strap. Works pretty well so far, comfy and not too tight (despite the pic seeming so).
The Prospex are really great watches too. Damn, you guys are picking up all the watches in my list - lol.

The Prospex are great daily’s. I like them a lot as well.

My target watch right now is A Grand Seiko sbgm221 GMT. Just love that watch, but I need a daily. (Hence I was also looking at Prospex line at the Tudor BB

Yeah, retail they are pretty rough now. Got a pre-owned one for about half of retail which helped.

Agree, I was looking in November of last year and was going to buy when bonuses paid out in Feb. The price went up a decent bit and I felt like it was closer to the Grand Seiko I wanted at that point. So I stalled out a bit on that decision- lol.

I ordered a strap from Jean Rousseau today for my Oris and man they have some gorgeous materials available!

By popular demand (ok, an offhand remark by @Perthmike), this is where we talk about our timepieces. Feel free to post pr0n of those you own or those that are grail watches.

I’ll start...

I have always, always, always had a thing for watches. From an early age, I was fascinated by complex mechanical devices. And wristwatches were, to me, the ultimate expression of craftsmanship and precision in a complex (and tiny) mechanical device.

I began wearing a watch in grade school, a Timex I bought with paper route money. I progressed to the inevitable Casio digital watch—the watch of 80s nerds everywhere—before I found a cool Armitron calendar watch which I wore throughout college.

But it wasn’t until I graduated law school that I acquired my first “real” watch, an Omega Seamaster Professional Chronometer. And it’s been all downhill (for my wallet) since then. I always loved diver watches, and it was just by chance when I was drooling over a Tag Hauer that I spotted the Seamaster. It was a timeless classic—stunning to me and the perfect distillation of the “tool” watch. Elegant and simple, sporty and dressy.

Little did I know but less than a year later the same watch would become the “James Bond” watch, and the price would skyrocket as a result of demand. But I scraped together my graduation gift money and bought it, for a price that is so low compared to current pricing that I’m almost embarrassed. I still have it and wear it regularly, even though I now have added other watches to my collection. Nothing else is quite the same, and I always come back to it.

Nice to have met you at JIJ! Love your vespers, and love your watch. Here is mine, same one.

Love a good seamaster photo. Been through many watches, this is likely my most worn (originally picked up because of my love/nostalgia for 007 Goldeneye).

I’m out of the rep game. They’re fun for about 2 weeks. After trying some out I am even more certain Rolex isn’t my thing. I have more than enough gens to cycle through.

But it was a fun exercise like Tina’s. The pieces I have I can use to help educate locals.

@kmccormick100 should post something here later today cough cough for science.
