This is specifically about the Valentino ceramic chips on thepokerstore. I was just wondering what other people thought about them as I don't have an excess of experience handling poker chips. I know that these are relatively cheap as there are many more expensive options out there, but I was curious about how they are compared to more expensive ceramics.

I've had a sample set. While they stack nice, the colors are very muted by design and it can be hard to distinguish between denominations. While it doesn't really matter to me, lots of people dislike the glossy rolling edges, too.

If you think those are "relatively cheap," I'd highly-advise you take a look at the hybrid ceramics offered by Broken Arrow.

By the way, welcome to PCF.

thank you. To clarify, I say relatively cheap (.40 cents per chip) for them because even on thepokerstore there are ceramics more expensive than them and you have chips like the Ascona (.89 cents) and classic poker chips ceramics (.77 cent min). I was just interested if the difference in quality was worth that much.

Ah, those are different Valentinos than what I'm speaking of. I'm going to guess those are knockoffs of the originals which are sold by BRPro and SunFly which I have never held in hand:

If I were you, I would get samples. A lot of those "cheaper" sets like that are prone to lots of spinners as they use inferior blanks to save costs.

In my opinion, from what I've sampled, the Tina hybrids are the current front-runners in value chips. Some may disagree with me, however.

the thing that caught my eye with thepokerstore valentinos is that they are modeled off of the hustler casino poker chips, which I like the design of. https://www.thepokerstore.com/collections/casino-valentino-ceramic-poker-chips

I've done some quick searches on where to buy tina's, but the only thing that comes up is Alibaba, is that right?
