The Riff Raff Room (CPC FDL Relabelling Project) (1 Viewer)

Just a thought (and it might look awful) but could you try making the denom outlines thicker, to make them clearer.

I think working the suits back in makes it a little too busy. I liked your previous red and blank/white design as a base. Choose 4 different bright colours to represent "0", "1", "2", and "5"

Not opposed to the colour injection. These are definitely easier to read (colours based on the edge spots of the chips).

These are the chips in question, which should help for context:

I actually like the first ones better. They are visually appealing as is and they get cooler as you see the denoms and suits. But they are your chips.

+1 to that. Love the abstract look, and the hidden denoms and suits are really neat. Though its unlikely people may notice until you point it out. Took me a while.

In the original iteration, I only saw the one (and none of the suits) and the design was meh-ish, but not unusable. As long as the denoms also appear on the face, this is fine. Then when the denoms and suits pop out, that's just an extra coolness factor, IMO. I like it alot.

That said, matching stained glass colors to the chip colors might work better overall. If they could be disguised, but color matched too, that might be ideal. I do think there is too much white in the color matched design, however. Maybe filling in some of the white will disguise them up a bit.

I really like how the denom colors are inconsistent, tho. Nice touch.

Whoa boy. Don't let original CT'ers see that you're relabeling those chips :nailbite::rage::vomit:

As for the design, your originals were great except for changing the color of the demoms in every chip. Keep all of the demons red in your original set and you'd have an unarguably better visual understanding of the labels.

New concept I am really liking, but now the question is: Do I still do two-sided or do I save the middle logo for things like coasters and an eventual custom table felt?

Thanks for the helpful feedback!

I really like the stained glass design, but these are way way better for inlays IMO.

Double sided, I'm lean either way. I think it would work fine and I'd hate to see that nice logo go unused.

Use the stained glass design for misc buttons/coasters IMO!

I am in the processing of updating a decade old tournament set (we only play cash now), and am really feeling this concept. I popped all the inlays off (CPC FDL), and am hopeful the deep recess will take labels nicely. I was not super happy with the FDL mold, as many inlays were already peeling up and there were spinner issues from bubbling inlays. I'm very pleased that removing the inlays solved the spinner problem.

What are your thoughts on the stained glass concept? Is it too abstract or just artsy enough? I think they would look awesome in a splashed pot.

I will definitely post pr0n once they're done.

Love it!

new one is great. you can go nuts and color match the background (green) or the orange space fillers, but so much better than before.
