We had kinda hijacked another thread, so giving this it's own space.

We meticulously clean our chips with expensive equipment and chemicals, but why not our tables? Inspired by @Goldfish, I did a careful steam cleaning and lo and behold, my cloth was covered in a thin film of hooker juice. Post your before and after pics below, as well as how much use it received before the cleaning.

Approximately 4 years of hosting 2 nights a month and the family using it once or twice a month

The Bissell pet pro is awesome! I pre-treat the felt then go to work with the pet pro (using the bissell cleaning solution).

I was a big fan of taking the felt off and running it through the washer.

Then I bought the mean green steaming machine.

I won't do it any other way now.

This is probably my new favorite thread.

Are any of these SSC. Would it need a different method?
Great resource thanks all.

I don't let my table get as bad as you guys so before & after pics don't have very much contrast.

I do use the Dyson during the game & the Bissell maybe every 3rd depending on how many "hard shufflers" have played.

I also rotate my playing surface between red, purple & green so that helps too.

I steam cleaned my ESPN table with a Bissel. Applied prespot, then washed several times with a cleaning solution, then several times with a hot water rinse.

Felt came out great, but the underlying support must have been sensitive to that much liquid. I ended up with some creases and wrinkles after it dried. Must be heavy duty cardboard or laminated wood.

Not too bab, but no longer smooth.

Which Bissell cleaning solution are you guys using in your machine? There seems to be a bunch of options?

Anything I should look for in a pre-treatment spray? Rug Doctor isn’t available over here.
