Best I have seen is @navels tropicana find.
There have been alot of other great finds, but 6000 tropicanas is pretty hard to beat. @navels has had alot of great finds in the last year or two. His rounders find was pretty spectacular also, and his fantasy paulson thc find was one of the best for sure.
I once found 2000 thc paulsons for 50 dollars I ended up paying 200 I think after getting the guy to ship and setting up PayPal with him etc. That was my best find ever. I've had a few others but that was my personal best.
@uclaure had an awsome find a while back. All those Dorado chips.
@pokerpig also had a really good one I remember. All those minty paulsons and 8v hundos were awsome.
@megaton had alot of great finds over the years. I wont disclose what it is, but his most recent find is pretty sweet. Hoping that he gets them in the mail soon.

These Were actually my best find ever also. My 2000 chip box ripped open in shipping and I lost alot of the 5s. I didnt get many of those sweet yellow 500s, and the ones I did get I traded to @kmccormick100. He PMd me after his find and gave me first dibs on 4 racks of those awsome 5s, Which I sorly needed to make my set playable. @kmccormick100 is a class act for sure and his mixed cali set is one of my favorites.

I don't have any specific finds in mind, but to me the most epic finds are when a hoard of chips is found from a casino from which there were zero racks in circulation before the find and just a few singles. For example, if somebody found all the old TRK chips from El Cortez, OMG. I think the Jessie Beck and Dunes hoards were both like that.

Don't know the whole background, but it seems they were purchased for $0.30 each, before being offered here in tranches and some of the denoms sold for $15+ each. It even took a while for the community to confirm they were Paulsons

No real story. I bought them from a collector who said he bought them from another collector who was liquidating his collection about ten years ago. He had them sitting in their boxes for the past decade.
I wish I could say they were a great estate or eBay score but they were not. The collector/dealer knew what he had and I was happy to pay it

So you got them 10 years ago? I remember seeing some surface on the blue board around that time, wish I bought some back then.

I found a set of 1000 Horseshoe Gardena chips which included a rack each of quarters and half dollars for about $150. Don't play cash so I ended up flipping it. I'll post pics a in a bit
