Esp when he can afford the 10k alot easier then prob 9,000 of the people who entered that tourney or more lol prob not too many people in that tourney has more money then him prob only a few hundred who knows but yeah he could have bought all of himself easily
I’m shocked at the idea that he only had 7% of himself at the ppc, arguably the most prestigious tournament, which he’d one 3 out of 18 times. Unless he sold at a huge markup. Maybe, if he was near broke?

Given the variance in earnings from massive events with a tight payout schedule, it makes all sorts of sense to diversify your exposure by pooling part of the risk. Same sort of thinking might lead someone to hedge and sell part of their exposure.
Investors make this type of decision all the time. Sometimes in the form of an index or mutual fund. Other times in a Real Estate Investment Trust. Many oil & gas projects are undertaken in a partnership to spread the risk out.
It is also quite possible that the most skilled poker players get an overlay where their shares are worth more than the expected value. In that case, the economics of diversification are even stronger.
If only Hero has known how this year was going to turn out -=- DrStrange
Yeah grinder been grinding for many years def awesome he took it down again I never thought another well known pro from the older school would take it down I was wrong
I mean he was behind when he got it in. You can say that is “results oriented,” but it is on the player to suss out whether he is ahead or behind. Yeah, you can get unlucky and run KK into AA. The AK vs KK hand was more of an outlier among his key hands in that his move was more justified. He totally sucked out on a ton of others, sometimes going runner-runner or hitting 2-6 outers.
