The Dugout (9 Viewers)

You’ve got a couple of really nice drum kits!

So, do you crash on your ride and ride on your crash? Sorry, it’s the only drum
Joke that I remember 😂

Solid turnout Friday 3/6. 14 players. Two tables. Fun night had my all. Pics to come.

Trying to plan a multi-table tournament next month once I get my work schedule.

Thanks for putting this thread together over the years, it's really interesting to see how The Dugout came to be. I also appreciate you sharing a bit of your other hobbies as well and love how you've brought it all together.

I'm still just starting out my chipper journey but hoping to have a place like yours one day. The CPC set you put together commemorating your father and his life's work is really inspiring as well, I lost my father about 2 years ago now and can relate to trying to put those memories and feelings into something fun and meaningful. Mostly I'm grateful for PCF for showing some really creative works of art and for sharing the stories that have gone into the design - and reading through the history of The Dugout really encapsulates all of that for me.

Keep up the great work!

Thank you for such kinds words.

Every now and then I read through this thread, and I'm even surprised how it started to what it is now.

Few pics I got.

I personally had my ass kicked, but still fun to play.

Been really slacking on the posts. No poker this month due to work and travel, and no available weekends.

Next poker is 5/16.

Some off topic events.

I have a few gigs coming up with an established classic rock/oldies band in the area. Super excited about that. First gig with them is this Saturday.

I'm always down to go see a good classic rock/oldies band. I'll be out of town this weekend but would come out to support the band. Let me know when and where you play. I'm only two towns over.😂

Gig went great and we played again the following week (this past Sunday).

In between, I was in Vegas for a conference. Ate a lot. Drank, hung out with old friends, and donated at the blackjack table at the plaza (I refuse to play on the strip.)

Pic is from this past Sunday.

Next gig is 5/15 and poker night 5/16.

Been crazy busy with work, but hosted a game this past Saturday. Completely forgot to take pics, but solid turnout with 11. Changed up the menu from a local Italian place and the food was fantastic as always.

Next game - the 13th.

So off topic of poker, but on topic for The Dugout...

I ended up meeting the owner of the largest drum case company in the world, Humes & Berg. Happened to meet him while picking up an order from the headquarters in East Chicago, IN. Since then, he has built me a ton of custom cases to match different drum sets and drums of mine. Went above and beyond, even putting name tags on my cases. Literally treats me like a touring musician.

He recently built a huge custom case set for one of my drum sets, which I got to pick up last week. Pics don't do it justice. The only thing he requested was for me to get a pic of all the cases he has built for me, so here is the pic...
