The Bee Room Cash Set (ASM/CPC) (1 Viewer)

OMG THOSE CHIPS ARE FECKING AMAZING LOVE THEM!!!!!:hearts::hearts::hearts::hearts::hearts::hearts::hearts::hearts:

And I've built out a new dedicated poker room in the basement since I last posted on here, I think? (Can't remember exactly when each was, but it's been a while for both. Haha).

Demolition and down to concrete. Installed new ductwork in the room and a new HVAC and air filtration system.

I spare you guys the other pics of insulation, drywall, painting, trim, lighting, floor installation, doors, hardware, etc and get straight to the finished goodness...

Did recessed LED lighting, recessed 8" definitive technology 3-way speakers in the ceiling that can be controlled via smart phone, and cameras.

OMG THAT TABLE!!! Where do you live

Damn. Every time you post is epic and it just gets better. Nice room, nice setup. Where did you get the shufflemaster?

I remember well when you had the Bee Room‘s made. Loved them then, love them now. Awesome Chips and an awesome room. Congrats!

1) Inconsistent chip thickness: Why do all my stacks of 20 chips each of the SAME chip denomination have to be different heights? My $10 chip stacks aren't all the same height. Kind of annoying when I have 7 racks of $10 chips that I'm trying to stack in a game. I don't have this problem with any of the ASM chips from the past -- each stack of 20 old ASM chips is EXACTLY the same height.

This is my only major concern with the newer chips. Individually my chips are stunning. The stack height differences drives me up the wall. Not enough that I'm not waiting on an add-on set myself though.

Great, enormous set. Enjoy!

thanks. Ive put a lot of resources into my entire poker set up / room. I live in the DC area.

Rye Park Gaming made the table and sold me the shuffler after completely servicing it with new rollers and cleaning it out. It’s used from a casino. I think they get them in large quantities on trade in when casinos upgrade to DeckMate 2

Holy shit, another 3k chips added to what may be the largest personal ASM/CPC set around. Baller.
Yea. I’ll have somewhere around 7000 chips and $17,000 sunk into this ASM/CPC set after this order comes in. Please, chip gods, let me be done.

My next addition is nice chairs. I’ve been comparing Gasser, Gary Platt, Majestic, and others. I’m gonna wait a while. Maybe this summer. I spent a ton of money in 2019 :(

Oh — I forgot to post pics of my custom mix game plaques. I’ll try to get them posted up here soon.

Here are the 25 custom mix game plaques. We've been playing some mix lately. The shiny gold messes with the focus on my phone, so the pics are a bit blurry.

1. Thank you for bumping this thread with updates. It’s always informative and occasionally inspiring to see setups, and very cool for newer users to get a look at sets established “back in the day”. (Big fan of that table, looks great but also so clean and crisp)

2. Did you recently have those plaques done? Would you mind sharing through who, and maybe ballpark price? I know a lot of people

What did they charge for that? I've seen them on their site but no prices listed. Great set BTW.

You're welcome. Wish I could find time to post more often, but life just gets in the way sometimes and I find myself gone from the forum for months or years at a time.

I got the plaques done a few months back. I got them at customsigns.com. The plaques are listed on their sites for $14 each, but then I found a coupon code for something like 20% off (honestly I forget exactly). Here is the link of the page I got them on: https://www.customsigns.com/design/engraved-sign-horizontal-4-x-8

I forget exact prices, but to my memory, the table was somewhere around $3000, the shuffler was somewhere around $8000, and the 6 side tables were somewhere around $900.

Here are the side tables. 3 full dinner side tables and 3 smaller drink side tables that nest underneath the larger ones. Corian tops, steel frame, and nice wheels.

In which way are you using the plaques?

For example, do you mix them up and place them upside down, then flip over the top one and say "surprise this hand/orbit is Razz"?

LMAO.

When the game starts, we each pick 1 (or 2) plaques of the game we would like to have in the mix. Everybody picks a plaque. Those are the games in the mix. We stack them in whatever order to start (doesnt matter). We put the plaques next to the dealer (not the button, the actual human dealer), each time the button passes the dealer, the game changes to the next game on the stack. The dealer takes the plaque on top of the stack and moves it to the bottom. All games get played the same amount of times, in the same order all night.

The jealousy spewing out of my veins is incomprehensible. I beg, I mean beg, my group to try Omaha and no one will even play that, much less 25 different mixed games. Holdem only or they leave. I can only dream of a night where this would happen.

Love it. I was randomly choosing games by using the mixed games ressource here on PCF. I would scroll it on my phone and stop on a random one. But there's too many.
I like how each person in your group picks a game. I need to look into this again and have plaques made.

Have you noticed any scratching on these plaques from stacking them together?

No, but I honestly haven't looked too close, and they've been used only about 5x since I got them, so they're still not really broken in.

I would presume they will scratch/wear a bit, as all plaques at casinos I've ever seen also get scratched up? But I'm OK with all my poker gear getting used and worn, as I just view these things as tools and not collectors items :) No different than a screwdriver or hammer, in my eyes. Haha.

Our group is NLHE tournament players. Over the years, I've implemented a single "special format game" on the calendar. This allowed me to introduce Cash Games, Limit, and Crazy Pineapple. This year it will be Omaha (high-only). Knowing it's just a single night makes it buttery smooth for introducing different forms of poker.

It also makes the process extremely slow, but baby-steps are better than no steps at all.

I like this idea, thanks for the comment. Time to look at the calendar.

Congrats from me too, for turning simplicity into an art :)(chip-wise and table-wise I mean; I can't stand crazy games:LOL: ).
Kudos, anyway!

Placed the order in October 2019. Should be here in the next month or two, I hope.

Just kidding, I guess.

Placed the order 7.5 months ago, and haven't heard anything yet. Was told 4-5 months turn-around before I placed my order. Guess the virus thing going on has them really behind?

Damn, that’s a long time for them to hold onto your money and for you to be without product. Chips look awesome though. Do you still have any sample sets left?

I just ordered a high denomination add-on for my Lucky Dog set. I was told "end of the year at the earliest".

I received them August 26, 2020, and placed the order the last half of October 2019. So total turn-around time was 10 months, but I was told 4-5 months at most when I placed my order. But, I guess COVID or something...

I am still waiting on the larger diameter $1000 chips though. So the set isn't complete yet. But here are pics of the new black chips and green chips

Quality seems better than my last batch (see earlier in this thread for those details), but the only issue I have so far is that a whole lot of the green chips have cupped edges. Concave. Like the finishing/sanding process after they come out of the mold didn't go as planned? IDK how to explain it. Here is a photo. Look at the concave edge. I haven't had any chips in any of my previous orders come like this before. But so many of the green chips have this. I guess/hope the edges will wear down a bit as they get played with? Other than that, no issues.

Here is the entire set (minus the $1000 orange chips I am still waiting for):

Breakdown is:
(18) racks of white $1
(15) racks of mandarin red $5
(22) racks of light blue $10
(20) racks of green $25
(12) racks of black $100
(1) rack of dayglo tiger $1000 (not shipped yet)

I have 1 rack of old green and 4 racks of old black chips (different edge spots/colors) that I need to get rid of. Overall, I have 9400 chips in this set (including the few racks of extras I have in the closet in case chips get broken/lost).

The green chips are still dusty, so from the edges, they look close in color to the blue chips. But once they get played with the color will pop more.
IMG_6599.JPG

Here is a pic of the old rack of green chips that has been played with, next to the blue chips. A much more noticeable difference. The new greens are the same base color, so they should liven up a lot.

I'll post some photos of the $1000 chips when they come.
