Got them all oiled and folded into the mix! David and CPC really did an amazing job on this one. If there's anything that I am disappointed in, it's that my original ASMs aren't as good! I really feel like after all this time, that the CPC chips are in a higher quality product than the ASMs I received circa 2008. Now obviously I have 10 years of play in my originals, so I'm comparing some used chips to fresh off the factory floor. Overall I think the height consistencies were a touch better in my original ASM set, but color and edgespot wise the add-ons feel and look like a higher quality product. CPC's DG colors are phenomenally more bright than the old standard, and spots are on average of better visual quality.

The only slightly annoying thing on this go around is that on a number of the yellows, there is what appears to be a feint rim around the edge of the chip. It's not very noticeable at first glance, and normal customers probably wouldn't notice, but to us chippers it can stand out if you want to pay attention to it. It's what I would call a defect, and what the process would call an artifact of using natural clay. My assumption is that either the press didn't go down all the way (which would explain some minor variation in stack heights), or that it didn't get buffed down all the way after the hardening process. I don't know if this is due to the mold, but as no one ever gets their orders in on HG, we may never know!

Two-table cash game meant all the chips were out. .50/.50 game. All racks of 1's were in play along with many yellows and dipped into the blacks for rebuy changing.

If I had any family out that way then that would've been a possibility! I actually have a pretty great design idea for the Beach custom felt, but that's gonna have to wait until I upgrade the table itself.

For now I'm switching my red felt to a midnight blue to go with the tan rail. Water and sand kinda deal...

In the house since late September and unfortunately the misses lost her job the day we got the keys. Fast forward a couple months and she's happily at a far better company making more money and advanced in her career. Now it's time to start fixing up the game room!

Modest so far, as it's the last room in the house to get any money towards it. I plan mid to late 2019 to be a big time for fixing it up more. Will likely replace the ceiling with a smaller flush mount fan and recess lighting. Also going to convert the standard closet space to a built-in with ample chip storage and hopefully a dry bar.

For now...new felt on the old crappy table! Built this thing back in 2008 in an apartment with nothing but an old staple gun and a $20 handheld jigsaw. Thought the red/tan venetian theme was classy, and it fit alright in the apartment when it was out.

Now i have a full time spot for it. I plan on a major table upgrade next year as well. This thing aint the best, but hopefully it's not "ugly table thread" material, as it'll have to do until I can get some spare cash to put something nice together. 8 person max, which is perfect for our regular game anyways.

As it's the smallest room in the house, I have limited space to work with so a full size 10 person table is out. As it is, though, easily enough space to get in and out as needed. Hard to see from the pics, but just under 2' clearance from the tips. Plenty of room down the sides.

Still looking kind of boring for now. I hear a coworker got me a gift for the walls as well, so when that comes in I'll have it next to the Jersey. Rest of the room is coming together.

As mine were a gift I have a few questions on ordering this stuff from the custom beer king @CraigT78 - for the Windy Crest pint glasses did you have to submit a different logo to the glass etcher that accounted for the curvature of the glass? The circle stroke on these stretches a touch to an oval. As this was a gift and I was not able to speak with the vendor I'm wondering if they got a lazy etcher or if you have to account for the curvature in the graphics submitted.

My glass guy told me that certain designs will not work on pint glasses, due to the curve of the glass. Straight lines is the biggest issue. My design is a circle-ish logo and it works just fine. PM me for details and contact info if you are looking for glass work.

Lol the amp moves around but to be honest I barely pick it up these days. I never got around to learning as much as I wanted to, and life is moving fast with a wedding, house purchase, etc.

I really want to put some thought into the room, although it will be in essence a 10x10 bedroom, and not a sprawling basement like the man caves on here. Still should be enough room to upgrade the walls, floor, lighting, and to build an arcade cabinet for the corner ;D

Funny to take a trip down memory lane. I had originally started mocking up the Beach using Palm Gaming's china clays. This was the first round of prototypes I had Joe make, versus what ended up being the final result from ASM (add on by CPC in 2018).

What do you think, did I make the right upgrades before it went to production?

I don't love the hour glass mold. However, I love obviously love the chips. They feel like kin to my sunsets The sample set looks great on my table!

I've always enjoyed the look of the underrated hourglass mold!

You definitely made a good decision ten years ago or whatever. Inlays look far better, and obviously the chips look lovely as well. Great color combos

One of the first memorable sets that came out when the hourglass was made available IIRC. I've always liked solid fractionals and the one you mocked up on the China clays looks great. At the same time the 212 works really well. The spot progression is great.

Second (and possibly final) add-on for the Beach received yesterday afternoon! Now able to support 2 full tables of cash with some bigger stacks! And added a $500 that will never see play, but it's a BEAUTIFUL chip and deserves to exist with the set.

Now the hard part - let the cleaning begin.
