Hi all. These have been up on the other forum since their inception/creation/production in 2008, but I recently am getting back into shopping for a newer, bigger set, and so I signed up here on PCF and figured I'd post these for all who have never seen.

These were created and designed by me, of course with help from the great chipping community along the way. This was to fulfill a regular 7-person mixed game, with the eventual breakdown into crazy/funny quarter games late late into the night, hence the load up on quarters. I was planning on topping off another 3-5 racks of these this year, but after seeing how much the prices have gone up over the years, hybrids are starting to look more appetizing...

The order was placed in March 2008, and delivered 6 months afterwards. The colors and setups were as follows:
25c 2a12 DG Peach w/Red and DG Orange
$1 4a14 Imperial Blue w/White and DG Pink
$5 3d14 Yellow w/Brown and Black
$20 3u Black w/DG Green and Lavender

Nice. They'd go great with my sunsets!

I really like the color combination on three quarter

This is an example of custom chip perfection. Great execution from chip colors, spots, initial artwork design to execution. I agree that prices are almost unbearable and I honestly find it hard to imagine a chip company being able to keep their doors open running limited capacity for a handful of orders. I certainly hope I'm wrong....way wrong. I wish it were the other way around whereas reasonable pricing to attract mass ordering providing full-time operations with a no mercy 24/7 production schedule. I'm sure it's been tried and the economics don't justify the model.

At any rate, one of the beauties of these chips is the mass appeal generic artwork. In the event owner ever wants to sell, he should have no problems funding his hybrids.

Wow, thanks for the high praise! It was quite the process for these from start to finish, and they're one of my prize possessions to this day (as any good chipper should feel.) I'll hopefully be able to make that add-on anyways sometime in the near-ish future, but for now I'm going to see a man about some hybrids!

thanks for sharing. I LOVE that quarter
Thanks! They originally shipped wrong with red/white edgespots in '08 and were sent back, but I saw randomly on the internet last year someone with one of those racks in their mixed ASM set, so the 3 error racks were re-sold at some point.

Still keeping an eye out to reacquire should the opportunity arise...

Just out of curiosity, did you authorize them to sell those chips with your artwork on them? I'm wondering if such a provision is part of their standard production agreement, in case of errors.

(It has happened before with casinos, which is how PGI was able to sell the chips returned by the Naples, FL dog track.)

Hey Larry, I was just about to reply to our PM convo about this, but no I never explicitly did. To be honest, I'm not sure which version of ASM did the selling, as I was gone from the community during the Red years. Knowing what I know of the character of the OG owners of ASM, they wouldn't have resold those. So my assumption is that they sat in the warehouse for a few years, and were sold off on eBay or something by Red.

Obviously, original ASM could have sold them also just as a general warehouse cleaning sale, but them knowing that we're a bunch of chippie weirdos, it doesn't sound like them.

I was pretty miffed about it when I found out, but there's not much I can do about those. Let me have a think about our convo and I'll get back to you soon...

I'm excited for ya man! Nothing beats a Friday delivery (as long as you have the weekend off). Enjoy the upcoming oil rub down and looking forward to the pr0n.

That’s random that a delivery can arrive as late as 8pm.

Also, are they there yet lol

I have no doubt your error chips were sold by Red during the brief time he held sole control of ASM Las Vegas. He made and sold some Key West chips without my knowledge or permission, offering them on Craigslist. @abby99 traced the.phone number in the ad to Red.

After this happened, David at Classic noted that no, Classic would not make or sell a customer's chips without permission.

Old ASM, Portland never did, either. It had to be Red. It's sad that we are still learning about unethical things he did to damage the home chip market and the people here.

Yeah, the evil DR Ott was truly a despicable piece of shit. :poop:

But then David Spragg came to rescue and saved the custom chip world. Although judging from the splits on HG Mold, it would detract me to have the HR mold, unles I settle for solids.

No unfortunately! I was at work waiting for the delivery notice to head home and grab them from the sun. But it was signature required (should've guessed), so I have it set to redeliver today...

Its pretty amazing that even 10 years and 3 owners later the colors are nearly identical. Doesn't particularly look like it straight out of the box, but I did a wet-thumb wipe down a couple barrels and they're right in line. The whites and DG pinks are brighter which is nice.

I also submitted recreated artwork with a new location name, and even with redone artwork the inlays are almost indistinguishable 10 years on. This was a big concern with me that the inlays matched, because they were not using the original artwork on file. WELL done by CPC for whatever they did on their side with the touching up and printing to get these bang on.
