Hey all,

I've never handled some actual Paulson THC's other than maybe a casino at some point. I bought a barrel of these THC dollars. The seller marked them "Vintage", and they're a custom set with probably someone's initials on them. Honestly, I was suspecting something "clunkier" or more muffled and these are noticeably "clinkier", much closer to a ceramic sound and feel rather than a CC.

Is this typical of THC and other real compressed clay chips, and are these authentic? I don't expect anything seriously old but I'm sure they are from a time when Paulson still sold to the public. Anyone have any idea what year they might be from? Trying to learn a little more about this kind of chip. I'm going to add them to my 5c/10c cash set for re-buys.

Thanks!
Dom

They're also noticeably not flat but I assume that would be from suboptimal storage and warping over the years

There also was a time when the Paulson brown was a bit “shiny hard” and very plastic feeling. Like a C&J but more noticeable.

Thinking on it more, it was almost like a CPC mold feel but Paulson.
