Take Brie to the Movies (2 Viewers)

I also want to add that movies that make me genuinly happy often hardly can qualify to be even remotley close in such a competition. Movie like bloodsport as an examples. Or karate kid for that matter. :)

I'm glad to see that Grumpy Old Men has been mentioned - that's an excellent suggestion!! That movie earns its laughs and its feels. Plus - Lemmon and Matthau? Come on!!!

Some less-than-famous 80's comedies that I've always appreciated: Midnight Run and Running Scared. I'll still tune into Midnight Run when I come across it on cable - the way Charles Grodin tortures De Nero is just brilliant comedy.

So many others... Hmmm... Any love for L.A. Story? It's weird, but good. "I'll have a half double decaffeinated half caff. With a twist of lemon."

Oh, and Young Frankenstein. How can people suggest Space Balls and not recommend Young Frankenstein???

“ how do you think Walsh found him so fast ?”

My movie collection is over 2000, my all time greatest movies list would be like...
Forrest Gump
Brave Heart
Gladiator
Saving Privte Ryan
The Count of Monte Cristo
The First 3 Indiana Jones
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Casino
The list goes on and on but mostly 90s and early 2000s movies for me being born in 82...
Favorite Comedy is tough but I would probably Pick "Your Hiness"

Favorite horror would probably be "Sinister" anything about apocalypse and zombies/ or Vampires ranks pretty high for me. I loved "28 days later!" We recently bought "the crazies" thought that was awesome!!

Worst movie ever and not even close was an old Tom Hanks movie called "mazes and monsters" although Movie 43 is definitely up there!

I had to get to page three before I saw Animal House. *shakes head*
Saw it opening day at the Sack Pi Alley. Took friends everyday to see it for a week.
Eric Stratton, rush chairman, damn glad to meet you.

Here is a dark horse, that 99.99% of you will have never heard of. But it is a fantastic mob/caper movie, with great writing. Starring Alec Baldwin, Andre Braugher and other luminaries, not to mention an amazing jazzy scat soundtrack:

Thick As Thieves

(Okay, it came out in 1999, but Brie was only 5.)
Definitely worth seeking out.

I just lost a bet that now requires me to watch this entire movie. I don't know if I can sit through the whole movie. The first time I tried to watch it, I thought it was terrible! Maybe I'll like it this time around LOL

I didn't read every response so this could have already been mentioned:

Always love me some David Mamet dialogue.

Young Frankenstein has been mentioned.
Brie probably doesn’t even know who Jack Tripper is.
Our Fire Station #3 carries the nickname "Three's Company" for their t-shirts and truck graphics. However, there has been a push recently to change it. I initially thought the change was predicated on the shows blatant sexism, but now I think it could be because new hires just dont get it.

You mean sinister? That movie is wicked!!! I would rank it equal with "the amityville horror" that Ryan Reynolds remade...

Also can't believe no one said... best Romantic Drama.. "I spit on your grave" truly one of the greatest love stories ever... at least equal to "the damn notebook" in my opinion.
