Hi All,

I’m sure this is not a new question and I’ve read many of the previous posts. However, I tend to over think stuff and would love feedback and suggestions on a T25/T4000 break down.

I’d like the ability to support up to 20 players max with rebuys. T25 with a starting stack of 4K and 25/50 starting blind, standard blind progression.

This structure seems to work well for the crew I play with. (2.5 to 3hr)

Planned Chips:
T25 - 200
T100 - 200
T500- 100
T1000 - 40

I could add more T500’s however would like to limit the T1000 as they are so $$.

I would most frequently have between 10-15 players.

Thoughts/suggestions welcome

Thanks in advance.

in T25 structures, the stacks of your 25 value and 100 value chips typically are even in multiples of 4 (8,12,16,20) so it would be desirable to have 160 chips or 240 depending on what is in the starting stack..... @ 160 you can do 2 tables........240 allows 3 tables while 200 chips doesn't add to your working chip volume significantly. With a limit of max 2 tables I always multiply x10 players per table but you could also multiply by 8 or 9 if those numbers are your fixed amount as well.

So I would recommend

160/160/100/100 +1-5 spares of each, and up to ten-twenty 5000 value chips

or I would want

240/240/100/100/20

Here is an example of some starting stack options and ways to compensate for high cost chips.
Its a shame to be pigeon holed with a set having limitations on rebuys or expanding to an extra table on that rare occasion more people show up than planned etc... I see the limit on 1000 chips is due to expense, what set are you creating? if the chips are expensive plaques are also an option.... here are some starting stacks for 5k tourney's, my breakdown is heavier on quarters because it is primarily a cash set, with the ability to work for tourney's or huge cash also. ....pick a pile size that is comfortable for you and work from there, this set is also built with few 1000/5000 value denom's because they are expensive compared to the rest of the chips (at least at the time when I bought them)

this is my HSI chip set breakdown for 5k's is.....I can actually cover up to 3 tables for t-4000 single buy in games but mostly for 1-2 tables for rebuys etc....
700-1
200-2.5
800-5
420-25
250-100
150-500
40-1000
20-5000

alternatively with a T1000 tourney structure I can cover up to 6- ten player tables with that HSI set
1000 chip value
5-5
7-25
3-100
1-500

The price of high value denom's can be overcome with plaques or changing your structure to include less expensive chips.
