I am thinking on running a T.25 tournament using my cash set.

After reading countless threads, It would seem the most recommended structure is to follow the T25 structure (divided by 100):

However, I am considering optimizing the blind structure to for more intiuitive chip usage in blinds.

Firstly I don't have all the chip denominations that would map directly to a T25 set, i.e I don't have T10 chips representing the more common T1000. This requires replacing each with double T5s.

Additionally, the players are mostly used to cash games, so having to post a mix of up to 4 chips for each blind might feel cumbersome.

So I am looking at the following structure:

I know I am sacrificing smoother increases and also some of the 50% SB ratio, but I am thinking it could be a better experience for players only needing up to 3 chips and most of the time, all of the same denomination.

Anyone has had experiences with such a structure or foresee any other issue?

I usea similar schedule for my weekday neighborhood game because of limited time.
I think levels 10-14 are a bit too fast (unless time is also a factor for you).
If you don't color- up the T1 you can go more slowly
10/20
12/24
Etc

You don't need T10 chips to run a T.25-base structure. Just use .25, 1, 5, and 20 (or 25) along with the first structure you posted. Add a .25/.75 level if you want to avoid doubling the blinds at L2 (recommended to avoid immediately cutting stacks in half).

Very unlikely it will require a T5 color-up (or an L16), but keep L16 50/100 if using T25s, and change it to L16 60/120 if using T20s.

Imo, the second structure is a recipe for unnecessary confusion. The first one runs just fine irl.

Why? Do they also not raise with 4 or more chips? First schedule is the way to go.
