Tourney T100 Set Up (2 Viewers)

What is the best T100 chip and blind structure for a tourney (for 8 people) that ideally lasts between 3-4 hours?

I'm getting a 400pcs set, and am considering on getting the following structure:
- 80x 100
- 80x 500
- 80x 1,000
- 80x 5,000
- 80x 10,000

Would this structure make sense? (Open to adjusting it for the T100 tourney set up)
Also what blind structure is most recommended to utilize?

Get your set setup for 10 players. Never know when a couple extra may join.

You could do a T20k stack game. Will there be rebuys?

Let's start with your starting stacks. At a minimum I'd probably do the following per player:
T100 - 10
T500 - 6
T1K - 11
T5k - 1

Multiply by 10 you'd get
T100 - 100
T500 - 60
T1K - 110
T5k - 10

That's 280 chips. If we add more 100s to reduce change making, we get
T100 - 150
T500 - 50
T1K - 110
T5k - 10

Now we have 320 chips.

You'll then want to add 15 - 1K chips to color up the 100s, and 5 - 5K chips to color up the 500s. That's 340. Add 5 each in case you lose or break some and you're at 360. 40 more 5k and you have enough for 10 rebuys and you're at 400 chips.

This structure should last about 4.5 hours with 8 players and without rebuys. Use 18 minute levels if you absolutely have to shave time.

I totally agree with planning for a 10 person tournament, to be on the safe side.

If I wanted to have a starting stack of 40K with 2 re-buys per person.

With the following 40K starting stack structure:
10/6/6/6/x

And the following total 400 chip set structure:
- 100x $100
- 80x $500
- 80x $1,000
- 80x $5,000
- 40x $20,000
- 20x Bounty Chips

What blind structure would you recommend utilizing for a 3-4H game?

Also do you think this chip structure is efficient/good?

*I mainly want to choose something like this, because here in Colombia I could utilize this tournament set as a cash set as well (due to the denominations matching the Colombian peso currency, which would work for smaller cash games - although I'm aware that generally mixing the tournament and cash set is not suggested...)

400 chips is hard to work with here when needing 2 rebuys per person. 100/60/60/110/34 will get you there, with starting stacks of 10/6/6/6, 5 rebuys of 0/0/0/8, and 15 rebuys of 0/0/0/0/2, with some extra 5K to color up the 100s and 500s, and 4 extra 20K to color up the 1K. The remaining 36 chips of 400 can be spares or as extra 5K and 20K for extra bank.

As I'm fairly new to understanding the structures of poker, and as I'm getting a new custom set, I want to make sure I get the right one so this helps me a lot

Question: you mentioned doing "5 rebuys of 0/0/0/8", why not just convert these 5 rebuys to 0/0/0/0/2 - with the goal of being more chip efficient?

As I'm trying to adjust this to a cash set as well, I had the following in mind (based on your structure provided):

Starting stack 40,000 with a buy in stack of: 10/6/6/6

400pcs
- 100x $100
- 80x $500
- 80x $1,000
- 80x $5,000
- 40x $20,000
- 20x ?

*I also forgot to mention that I would have 5x plaques, and I was thinking the denominations to be $50,000 (not $40,000 because $50,000 would fit perfectly with the entire cash buy in for the Colombian currency). These plaques could also help with the buy-ins for the tournament (with some change required of course but would at least cover 6 additional buy ins).

Question: what should I utilize the last 20x chips for?

Initially I was thinking using them for bounty chips, but now that you mentioned keeping some chips for additional re-buys (in case of a crazy re buy tournament) or for change, I'm unsure for what is best to use them for....

Question: what's the benefit or con of utilizing the 10/6/6/6 structure compared to another stack structure for a similar set up?

I liked this structure because it would help me utilize this set for a cash set as well (in Colombian currency).

What I gave you is enough for 3 rebuys per player. I’d probably make them spare chips in case you lose/break some. 110/65/65/120/40 gives you more spares for the most common chips.
