Hi Tourney Brains Trust.

Im looking for assistance putting together a breakdown for at least 3 table (30 player) T100 base tourney set.

I know there are already similar threads discussing this, however the IPs set I have doesnt have any 25K chips.

The set has 100, 500, 1K, 5K, 10K, 50K, 100K & 500K.

Thanks in advance for your input.

A T100 40k Starting Stack (10/6/11/5) + 30*$5k for coloring up

3 Table MTT*
300 x T100
180 x T500
330 x T1K
240 x T5k

*Also able to handle 2MTT with (15/7/15/4) as well

You can addin your rebuy in 5k & 10k from the above breakdown

Any suggestions for a T500 breakdown so I can get some plaques in play

A T500 150k Starting Stack (10/10/7/10) + 30*$5k for coloring up

3 Table MTT*
300 x T500
300 x T1k
300 x T5K
300 x T10k

*Also can increase the starting stack with 50k (example 90*50k more for 300k starting stack freeze out tourney)

You can addin your rebuy using 50k from the above breakdown

In this case for T100 I'm going to plan for a 100k stack, because that's essentially the minimum you need in order to add 50k plaques to stacks for a gazillion rebuys (you can of course always start with a smaller stack). Since you have plenty of chips, I would make use of them with a splashy breakdown of 15/5/16/4/6. So a 30 player breakdown would look like this:

450x 100
150x 500
480x 1k
120x 5k
180x 10k

Assuming you are fine with housing some of the 100s and 500s in the same rack, then add more higher denoms to fill racks and use as color-ups.

450x 100
150x 500
500x 1k
200x 5k
200x 10k

Then finally add some 50k plaques (that are playable from the start), and some 100k plaques for late game color-ups and just in case the play gets crazy LOL. There's no use for 500k plaques here.

Sounds like It should be a T500 base to get plaques in play

I mean the 3-table T100 base is prolly going to have a bunch of plaques on the final table. Let's say you start with 40k stacks (100/200 blinds, 200bb deep) and people rebuy an average of 1.5 times. That would put 3M on the final table. Your 5k chips can cover a max of 1M, so about 2M would be in plaques.

If you want to be using plaques right from the start, then T500 base would be better.

For a base 500, give each person 10/10/7/10/1 of 500/1K/5K/10K/50K gives you T200,000. Coloring up T500-5K with T50Ks and the T10Ks with T100Ks, you get:

300x 500
300x 1,000
210x 5,000
300x 10,000
330x 50,000
30x 100,000

If you need help with a blind structure, I could figure one out if you let me know how long of a tournament you’re running.

Thanks for this! Ill have a think about how long Id need the tourney to run for and get back to you

One of my sets for 24 players has that progression (up until T50k, which rarely sees action).

My recommendation is to use T100 through T5k in your starting stacks, then handle all color-ups (and rebuys if you allow) with T10k.

For T50k to be useful you need to have more than 1 million in play. Around 2 million they start becoming necessary. Between that it's a gray area.

In my opinion, 5k->10k (->50k) works a lot better than what your average PCF:er would have you believe. Not saying it's better/worse than 5k->25k, just saying that it works well.
