People, places, and things...

People
Just an amazing number of great people here. Many I have met, and many more I would like to meet. I would call out some of them, but after typing in the list, it began to look more like the complete membership list, and there would still be names I forgot.

Places
The meet-ups! I would never witnessed the magnificence of Iceland if it wasn't for @Gunnar, known there was a city better than Miami in Florida without @k9dr, or hiked above the clouds in Denver without @slisk250. I now reserve at least a week of vacation each year to attend a meetup - the problem is that I just don't have enough time to get to them all!

Things
I can honestly say that I now have more photos of chips than I have of my own family. :bag: Don't judge me, I tried to wager my little brother in a card game when he was three and my mother was not pleased, so chips are more useful.

I bought extra dice chips to fill in my set before CT and PCF. If not for chip sites, I would have no knowledge of ASM/CPC to get my custom cash set, I'd have no knowledge of BCC to get my custom tournament set, and I'd have no access to the members and vendors to piece together my Bud Jones cash and re-label tournament sets.

Moreso than many places on the internet, however, I'm glad for the people here. I'm happy to call many locals my friends; let's be honest: gamblers can be scummy people, but the local chippers and poker players are all outstanding human beings. And beyond the local scene, there are amazing and generous people all over the earth who chip and are willing to help out -- chipping or non-chipping related.

Thanks for the giveaway, @Ethan and thanks to all the chippers out there.

There's nothing quite like a PCF meetup because actually playing poker with other true chippers really does give u a nice, warm feeling.
Also, i thought I was a weirdo for sniffing my Paulson barrels n giving them a smell, but then I read on here that others do the same. Once i saw that, I was like damn... I've found my people.

They smell so nice

PCF has introduced me to many members that, while not having met them in person (yet), make you feel like family.

The chips! I love seeing the creativity that come out of members minds. Once you think you've seen it all, a set comes along with a spot/color pattern that just blows your mind.

I like PCF for the variety... different people that I've met both online and in person, different perspectives, and all the glorious chips! I can take my mind off the outside world and just browse posts. We own chips we would not have if we had not found this site (wait....then I'd still have that cash... ah well, good trade off). And as PZ said, we wouldn't have visited the cities (and countries) we have if not for the meetups!

it all started for me from stalking the site, for years I would come back from time to time when I got the bug for a custom set of chips or a poker project like a table build or something

then this year being locked in the house I got real serious about custom chips, have ordered a set through Sean's group buy

Now I look multiple time a day because of the information. ideas and comradery of the site, people have been beyond great

Plus I have also bought because of things I have seen on here
A sample Set
decks of cards
A Hot Dog Roller
A Pizza Oven
and who knows what else
and joined an online poker site or 2 with some of the members

SO thanks to PCF for having me, it has been a pleasurer so far, i love going back and looking at some old threads just to see what people are talking about in recent threads, you know the gossip stuff

I will buy a membership tonight as I probably owe more than that t this site for the last few months

I like PCF because it is a place where everyone gets to share in a hobby they are passionate about. What sets this place apart is how helpful and friendly most people are. I know I get excited when I see someone get to fulfill a set or snag something they have been looking for. Add in the memes, fun giveaways (like this one), some stupid drama, actual poker games, interesting history/knowledge, the hardcore pr0n, and it has been an enjoyable experience all around.

Thank you all for sharing - it’s clear there is a ton here for everyone. And even more for me to gain by sticking around. :)

I’ll be doing a drawing later tonight for both prizes and will share the winners in a following post! The entry period is now closed.

Thank you for supporting PCF. It is simple sign of gratitude for the value this community shares. After all, what is $25 compared to what was spent on your chip horde? :whistling::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::bag:

I love seeing all the chip collections. I got my first decent set of chips and other home game stuffs because of this forum. The thing I love the most is the home games in P*. Since I have played live poker in 6 months, its the best way for me to play against actual people.

Finally met people to share love for chips and cards. Hate to talk about them and see blank yet polite stare. Understanding.. That's all I expect.
Only regret is that we will propobly never meet all together to play poker and share our fascination face to face.

@Ethan who won? I mean I want to support the site with my words of affection and money but I am also excited to see the results. A 4 person giveaway means I got 25% odds. Now I am no gambling man but those odds are better than most of the times that I am begging the dealer for some help.

Rehabilitated? Well, now let me see. You know, I don’t have any idea what that means.

I know what you think it means, sonny. To me, it’s just a made up word. A politician’s word, so young fellas like yourself can wear a suit and a tie, and have a job. What do you really want to know? Am I sorry for what I did?

There’s not a day goes by I don’t feel regret. Not because I’m in here, because you think I should. I look back on the way I was then: a young, stupid kid who committed that terrible crime. I want to talk to him. I want to try to talk some sense to him, tell him the way things are. But I can’t. That kid’s long gone, and this old man is all that’s left. I got to live with that. Rehabilitated? It’s just a bullshit word. So you go on and stamp your form, sonny, and stop wasting my time. Because to tell you the truth, I don’t give a shit.
