Suggestions on new cards? (1 Viewer)

Not necessarily. Depends on the cards you had. I haven't tried the bridge size Prestige cards, so I can't compare. It's possible they are made in the same facility using different card stock.
@mummel should have both in his possession. He could write a brief comparison when he gets a chance.

CBL is correct. check your box. Made in Spain means made by Fournier. Does not mean they are the same "stock" as the Prestige, though.

FYI my previous comments on the Fourniers.

Im changing my mind on the Fourniers. They are no longer "nicer" cards....... These cards are absolutely amazing.

I've broken them in now. They've been handled quite a bit (fatty fingers etc). They have a wonderful paper texture to them yet are 100% plastic with all the benefits of being plastic. I had a 10 man tourney last night. I busted out but as the host, needed to hang around until the end so I ended up shuffling for and hour or two. I've really come to appreciate these cards and highly recommend them. TY for the recommendation.

Milo is a confirmed card freak.. He's the @BGinGA (i.e. EF Hutton) of cards. I'd value his opinion.
Actually, I'm the @Milo013 of tourney structures. But I agree that he's the go-to guy for cardspeak. When he posts, I listen. :)

My personal favorites (all bridge-size) are Piatnik, Fournier, and SuperFlex, in no particular order -- although Fournier cards are certainly less expensive and easier to find than the other two. Bicycle Prestige bridge-size is a pretty good budget card, and probably the best bang-for-the-buck in that market segment.

Although I don't care for them (due to size), Modiano Platinum Acetate and Desjgn both make excellent poker-size products. And again, Bicycle Prestige is a great budget card in that market space.

Anything but KEM or Royal. Both are sub-par offerings, in my experience.

BGinGA . . . are the Superflex really that hard to find these days? Or is it just Gemacos in general? Because that is a shame, they were the only line from Gemaco I thought was worth the coin.

Kardwell sells them for $25.50/setup, straightpokersupplies.com in CAN has them for $30/setup, and thepokerstore.com in Dallas sells them for $25/setup with free shipping and a PayPal payment option. That's about it, unless you can convince Gemaco to sell direct. You can find other Gemaco products a few other places, but not Superflex.

Note: Kardwell claims to sell Superflex at volume prices (as low as $18.50/setup with 50 setups), but I don't think they can actually ship those types of numbers. @dennis63 of Key West tried to get a group buy together earlier this year that failed.

Yeah, I just checked out Kardwell. That IS steep, especially factoring in shipping. StraightPokerSupplies is a more reasonable price, especially as it is in $CAD. It's a shame, because it could be a GREAT card value if priced at say $20.00, maybe a little less.

But that is why I just play with 'em rather than market them, I guess.

Shipping to the US is the killer, here. It seems to be $22 Cdn regardless of the number of setups ordered. I tried 1 setup and 10 setups...same cost for shipping. If you are buying in bulk, it may be worthwhile.

Others have already mentioned, but having used just about everything I could possibly buy over the last 10 years or so, my personal favorite...
Fournier, Bridge-size, Jumbos.
The best overall combination of looks, wear, and feel. And the jumbo ain't TOO Jumbo, just right to my eyes.
I do wish they came in more colors and offered some of the better back designs (like from their poker-sized decks) to choose from though.

@MD Mike

just to clarify, based on some of the earlier posts here:
there's at least a couple versions of the Bicycle Prestige cards. The "DuraFlex" variety are not-so-good IME.
The Spain made ones appear to be Fournier's, although the stock is slightly different than Fournier's own bridge-size decks, but are still excellent.
Also, the "Jumbo" lettering on the Bicycles/Fourniers are larger than the Jumbo lettering on Fournier's own bridge-size decks.
(I much prefer the smaller Jumbo of the Fournier bridge decks. Looks more elegant while still being large).

There's another thread here that shows the Bicycle/Fourniers:
