At this point, I don't know why we don't just buy an entire organization once every year. In a couple decades, they'll just own MLB and we don't even need to play games, they'll just host a championship parade automatically each year.
I can only pray that Mark Davis has an epiphany and sells everything Raiders to the Dodgers ownership group.

What you experienced there is called ELITE defense. Not any inordinate number of missed calls. I'd love to see the film of the calls you think were missed.

My thoughts are that refs miss calls all the time, and that over the course of a game, they even out. But when you're a fan, you mostly just see the missed calls that hurt you, and not the ones that helped you.
That still photo doesn't have enough info to know if there was a foul, or not. In the next frame, did the Iowa player slap Jefferson's arm or hand? Might be a foul on Iowa, might be no foul, or might even be an offensive foul.

I’m 1000% with you. I believe in and love home grown talent, I think all leagues should increase the lenience regarding tax aprons and limits for players they drafted or had their first all star season with.
But……it’s hard when it’s Dodgers or Yankees. Every year they rank towards top on everything, from training room to travel game meals.
Man how easy is it for LA to woo free agents on top of the $, when they have everyone MLB players favorite player (mookie), a players coach in Roberts, and every single player who leaves or isn’t resigned has glowing reviews of the organization top to bottom. Add in getting to play with literally the best player of all time (who is also reported to be a joy as a a teammate) and it’s like wtf do you do!?
Nuts. At least baseball is harder for talent to destroy parity. Last years playoff games were amazeballs. NBA looks like it’ll have 0 parity with OKC (small market!?) breezing to another chip.

It used to be, as recently as 5-6 years ago, a coach went on the recruiting trail, would enter a recruit's home and promised his parents, "I will make sure your son gets a degree."
Now, the coach contacts them via Zoom and says, "I promise to help him transfer his credits when he enters the portal."

They could’ve paid kids many many years before they did and they wouldn’t have transfer portal now.
They could’ve properly publicly funded college programs and wouldn’t have transfer portal.
We didn’t have to monetize students private information.
They didn’t have to privatize Sallie Mae and turn it to for profit.
Kids, like most American populations, are simply a source of human capital and $ unfortunately.
Gotta be difficult as a college sports fan to follow it these days.

I'm really not a conspiracy theorist, but I'd like to see the betting numbers on "Jets don't pick off a single fuckin ball all season", and then right before the last game.
Its not point shaving if everyone thinks they suck anyways.
