The tournament set I created for my old west themed set came out a little too ornate to match the cash set so I thought I'd try some more subtle variants. Looking for opinions on which direction to head based on the following choices:

1.

2.

3.

Dig the 414s here, but regardless of the lineup that pink on the 500 sticks out to me like a sore thumb. Everything else feels kinda earthy or toned down, but the pink on that chip just smacks me in the face in each mock.

Lineup 3. But really prefer the 25 from 1 and the 100 from 2.

However if your looking to keep the spots the same 2 gets my vote

Aesthetically, I am for uniformity of edge spots rather than progression, although I acknowledge the serious argument in support of the latter, when it comes to functionality for color-blind people, bad lighting and splashed pots.
So I voted for 414 (although I love 3V12s and yours are truly handsome) because it's 414 all the way and because for some reason, I feel it suits the Old West style better than the Quarter Pie (this coming from a non-American, to whom America, particularly of that era, bears a degree of exoticism, can be used either in support or against this view).
PS: Shocked to disagree with my Guru Psypher about the pink. :)

Set 2 for certain.

Just personal preference; I'm not fond of the spot type on 3; and for 1 I DO like a 1/4 pie chip but not on everything.

....DB is basically Black..... prefer Retro Blue for a Base color

I am thinking "basically black" works better next to the Imperial Blue T500 than Retro Blue would.

I would normally use black for the T100; but since the dark blue is so close, I thought it would make the set a little more unique without straying too far into left field.

...functionality for color-blind people...

I've been thinking a lot about this.

My adult son has what he calls a "minor case" of color blindness. I'm not sure what that actually means, as he has never demonstrated any difficulty in distinguishing between colors. Still, it makes wonder if I should do something like this:

Well, I have no idea what color blindness feels like, but if it supposedly was about seeing the world in black and white, I doubt that "edge progression" would save any artful set from uselessness.
Only chips with very simple and limited edge spots and very high contrast between the shades of base and edge would be distinguishable.
If you know more or less the circle of people you 'll be playing with, you 'll know if anyone is concerned.
I guess you 're not opening a venue open to the public, so you don't have to provide for each and every person's imaginable needs among the whole population.
