While I'm not exactly sure what your post means, I'll respond to what I think it means. I'm a few (+) drinks in so keep that in mind.
1.) I do feel somewhat the need to justify the asking price (and I might be a bit spring loaded to be a bit defensive - hence this post).
2.) I think there are fewer of these chips in circulation than expected.
3.) I think the value is arbitrary (I think the definition fits it well "based on random choice or personal whim, rather than any reason or system.") credit
@Hornet not for his valuation of the $5 but for his use of the term that helped articulate how I was feeling.
4.) Arbitrary in especially in light of the value of boat chips.
ES fracs go for $8.00 per chip. What's the difference in value?
5.) See point 1.
I haven't been around long but I think leaded Paulsons are becoming more and more rare. I think this trend is only going to continue with time. As the community grows and chips find their forever homes, leaded Paulsons are going to be less and less accessible. I think this process has been expedited over the last year with community events.
