Really? I've lived here all my life and haven't seen that. Although I think the last time I was actually in Seattle was when I met with you and @navels, so I don't get to downtown too often.

I am downtown every day. And to be honest, it is more the smell of urine than feces. Not downtown core, so much. But get out on the fringe of downtown, and it can be pretty dirty and smelly.

When I go to Pike Place Market I always go to the little fried chicken stall on the upper level and get a bag of battered and spiced chicken livers to nosh on. It's been a tradition for me for Lord knows how many years.

Pike place chowder is really good. (I'm from New England too!)

People have mentioned Fortune for poker, which is nice, its new. But for a better game go to Caribbean Card room in Kirkland. Beers are $2 and as you would expect, players get pretty loose!

If you want to learn about the city and its history the Underground Tour is really interesting and pretty cool.

If you want to experience our best Microbrews (and some of the best restaurants in town) check out the Ballard neighborhood. There is a brewery passport you can snag at any of the breweries down there that maps them all out and is great for a bar hoping day. There is like 10 top notch breweries within walking distance of each other.

While youre in ballard check out the sunset at Golden Gardens, the only actually sandy beach in the seattle area. Great sunset there.

Checkout a barcade(21+ arcade), they are huge in the Pacific Northwest. I suggest Add-A-Ball in Fremont neighborhood. It's quirky and a lot of fun. But maybe steer clear on sat/sun night, its a madhouse in there on those nights.

The City pass is a really good deal for tourists. Each one of the tourist attractions the city offers is very expensive on its own, but you get access to all of them with the city pass for the price of like 2 or 3. Includes space needle, elliot bay cruise(I think), the aquarium, The museum of pop culture(MoPop) which is actually pretty damn cool, etc etc. I believe the city pass also comes with a few free lyft rides to get around as well: https://www.citypass.com/seattle

Was really fun, you and your group literally peddle this contraption through the neighborhood and make several bar/brewery stops along the way. My family of 5, ages 22/27(me)/30/58/60, shared our cycle with another group of 5 or 6 and had a blast.

In fact, the night quickly got away from all of us, and needless to say, none of us enjoyed waking up early the next morning to drive to Vancouver. Sunglasses and Advil for all.

The PNW is absolutely gorgeous. If you don't want to spend your entire time in the city consider checking out some beautiful nature. Diablo lake and the north cascade highway are breathtaking. The Olympic peninsula is incredible but probably too far for a simple day trip when you're on a schedule. However going about halfway and visiting Hurricane Ridge is well worth it. Its a drive but the drive is half the fun, you get to ride the ferry and travel through wooden winding backroads.

I don't know all the spots you listed but Heres a quick pass of green vs red on whether its worth it to go to or not. and I left some of them blank even if I did know cause its more a preference with your time thing.

Bathtub Gin is a really great cocktail lounge. It's tricky to find as its speakeasy style, unmarked door in an alleyway. It's like half a block from Jupiter bar sdo you can get 2 birds stoned at once. Jupiter is a cool place. My buddies own it, its an art bar/barcade. Every wall is a mural from a different muralist in seattle and they often have live painting going on at the bar as well. Plus they got a bunch of pinball in the back which I love

Pike market is pretty classic and has gotten better over the years. The pink door is in post alley at the market and its a really great dinner spot. Highly suggest their pesto lasagna, its phenomenal. They have live bands/trapeze and such on certain nights.

Kerry Park is a must stop to get your Iconic shot of the skyline. It'll be the best view of the trip.

Frankie & Jo's is wild. They make non-dairy icecream and its some of the best tasting ice cream I've ever had in my life. They have really creative flavors that'll blow your mind. Definitely something unique worth visiting.

Honeyhole is a great lunch spot, they have incredbile sandwiches. On that same note The Other Coast sandfwich shop is also one of my favorite lunch spots in town.

Alki beach was a great one I forgot about. Really fun beach vibe in west seattle. Best way to visit is to hop on one of the jump bikes around town and take the Water Taxi over and then bike the boardwalk up and down. Cactus is prob the best place to eat over there.

Fremont brewing is good but its always kind of a shit show there. I attached the ballard brewery passport map for other, better brewery suggestions I circled my 3 fav spots. Stoup & Lucky Envelope are the best beers out there imo.

When walking on the sidewalks, don't look at your phone while walking -- you're likely to step on a homeless person.
Drink lots of good beer, take a ferry ride, spend as much time as possible doing outside things.
