Hey buddy, hope you are feeling better already.

If you are mobile...I would prefer the locals casino's and hotels (The Orleans, South Point, Santa Fé, Palace Station, Green Valley Ranch, ...)
If not, I would suggest to look into The M ressort before The Nugget, better pricing too.

Thanks Thomas, we are starting to come around, heading up to the cabin for a nice quiet weekend by the fire.

If we were picking, we would be staying at the Aria, we love it there. That said we agreed to stay downtown with them so looking for a nice place clean room not run down and dirty, preferably close to a card room. (I'm going to have find time to sneak off to the card room probably early morning when the group is just getting up).

You don't say . . . Any chance at all between the 16th & 20th? Because the Mix Game Festival is going on at Resorts World. Planning on being there in November if I have bankroll left from Freeroll in O-HI-Lo This will be my 10th and they are Great! Let me know if you're are there those date so we can try to have a drink or play !

Absolutely if you are looking for a more luxurious stay, Circa is your best choice by far downtown and obviously, the strip adds even more choices. The D, Plaza & GN are fine choices as well. If you choose the Nugget, request the Carson tower to be away from Fremont noise. I PM'd a discount code for GN.
