Sample discrepancies -- is this common? (2 Viewers)

Hi folks -- I've been sourcing a bunch of samples lately to try and decide what to buy and I encountered something strange -- two samples of the same chip from the same vendor, but they are not the same...

Was just wondering how often folks have seen this.

Just to clarify -- this is not a negative post about the vendor -- rather they have been very honorable and customer friendly. Was just curious to see if others have experienced this.

This is more common with low budget chip as they have lesser QC and chip will be varied from different batches

One of theses could also be older. The cheapo plastic chips do seem to fade over time.
