Rounders On my Birthday (1 Viewer)

It was my birthday a couple days ago and yesterday I watched Rounders. Still holds up.

I suddenly have the urge to hollow out books for hiding spots.

Just realised I don’t have that in my Apple library and was looking for something for a work trip this week.

One future rewatches, I find myself hating Mike's girlfriend more and more. Why can't see just let Mike do what he enjoys and play some poker? She also made off with the sheets. What kind of psycho takes the entire bedding?

Jo isn’t a bad character. But worse than the sheets, I thought it was pretty mean when Mike opens up to her, tells her a felt alive at the poker game, and she basically just rejects his feelings.

Exactly, she's been with him long enough she understands the importance of poker on him. Mike hated working kinish's truck to earn and money and you'd like to think Jo can believe that Mike learned his lesson after getting gutted by the mad Russian and Mike would go back to sticking to the smaller games where he built his bankroll.

"You're telling me the 1st in months you felt alive was at the (poker) table"; Jo your boyfriend is depressed, poker helped him, why crush that and make him feel bad about playing. The movie is perceived differently as I age, but I still love the movie.
