Haven't built a tourney before with BB ante
Assuming 9 entries + 1 rebuy 1 million chips in play...

You should try making the blinds a fixed amount equal to about .005 of the buy in. Allow unlimited rebuys. Permit ICM chops at any time, even by individual players.

I’ve played plenty of tournaments with big blind anties, but they’ve been more than one day events not something I’m trying to squeeze in 5 to 6 hours. Almost treating this more like a final table appearance than a tournament.

Equal to the BB. I've played around with BBA tournaments so regularly that I just assume it, sorry for not clarifying that.
