Finishing setting up for my charity toy drive tournament tomorrow. 16 players signed up. $60 + a toy (or a $20 donation) buy-in for 20k in chips.

Going with big starting stacks, well because I can!

Tournament went well. 15 players. I finished 3rd but was a huge favorite to be a dominant chip leader but went bust instead lol.

Craziest hand in a long time. Flopped quad A’s slow plays since the preflop raiser kept betting on the turn. Unfortunately he got there on the river with the Royal!

Finally having a game tonight. It’s been a month or so, with the holidays, parties, and colds terrorizing our house all month it feels good to get cards on the felt again.

Every time I see PCA's I have regrets about selling mine.

Game has been more subdued than I expected. Some of my bigger action players are missing. We have changed the rotation to 1 round each of Hold’em, SOHE, and PLO.

In for $300 and doing well so far.

Getting ready for tomorrow’s game. Have a full table of 9 players scheduled. Kind of hoping someone drops lol. I much prefer 8 over 9 handed.

Mixed set in play so I can get the Empress $100’s on the felt. I’ll probably only use one rack of $25’s so I can get more $100’s on the table lol.

I stop sending out invites when I get to 8. That way I have a seat if I need for someone last minute or an out of town player (PCF member) is able to play. This week a regular player said yes but then had to cancel so I filled his seat with someone. This evening he messaged me asking if he could get back in. So now we will play 9 handed.

Up a little in the early going. Lost a decent pot with A10 on a 1097 flop turn 10, river J. Thankfully the Jack came off. I thought he had a hand like 89 or 78. So I was able to fold to his river all in bet. He actually had 109 for the turned boat!!!

I got him back a few hands later in PLO when I turned Broadway and he was drawing dead with a smaller straight. He didn’t believe me and called turn and river.
