RHC Label Project - what to do :) (1 Viewer)

I think I have enough RHC to build a complete cash or tourney set out of these. The theme is secret and of course the label matters but let's say you are just picking the denoms for this set. What should we do? I have 2 racks of everything listed with the exception of the UB hundos, GV 500s & Harrah's 1s (hopefully rack two is coming soon in a trade??? Gene??? only 1 rack each - The labels will include some color matching.




Here's my first thought
Cash
.05 - Purple - Paradice 500s
.25 - Orange - 1995 HOF Classic
1 - Lt. Blue - 1996 HOF Classic
5 - Red - Terrible's STJ 2nd
20 - White - Harrah's (1 rack so far)
25 - Green - UB 25s
100 - Black - UB hundo (1 Rack)

Sit N Go - 10 player
25 - Green UB 25s
100 - Purple Paradice 500s
500 - Orange HOF Classic 1995
2000 - Lt. Blue HOF Classic 1996
10000 - White Harrahs 1s

Joking (not really joking...sell them to me) aside, my first observation is that your lower denoms would have some of the most complex/costly spots I've seen and would progress towards relative simplicity vs. the other way around. The five also sticks out to me a little bit...with all the other 1/4" spots I think the primaries would fit better vs. the secondaries. The other thing that strikes me is using the WSOP chips and the Harrah's chips in the same set would give you two chips with the same spot pattern. I don't think it's necessarily a negative as we're used to seeing that in sets like WTH&C, but I don't know if you're trying to avoid that or not.

From a functional perspective, I do think the Aquarius $1s might work better as there's plenty of orange/yellow between the two WSOP chips.
 
I wouldn't try to do a tourney set with 2k denom unless you were able to pick up a 3rd rack of something to use as the 500 - with no 1000s you really need a bunch of 500s in every stack.

Tourney set:

5: Terribles (if you even need/want a 5)
25: UB green
100: HOF blue
500: GV
1000: HOF orange
5000: Harrahs
 
I seriously thought about picking up those four racks of HOF chips.... and if I did, they would have been paired with the following re-labeled RHC chips (no specific order):

Harrah's Reno $1
Oak Tree Casino ($5 and $100 especially, but all are pretty good)
Ultimate Bet $25
Grand Victoria $500 secondary
Good Luck Club $500

The GV $500 secondaries and Oak Tree $100's are almost mandatory, imo.
 
I don't like any of them for the $1 cash chip...... the Harrahs $1 and WSOP 1996 are too busy for me (I like a lesser edge spot $1 chip). Here's what I would do:

0.05 = Par-a-dice purple 500
0.25 = HOF 1996
1.00 = none :)
5.00 = Terribles $5
20.00 = Ultimate Bet $25

T25 = Aquarius $1
T100 = Ultimate Bet 100
T500 = grand Vic 500
T2k = HOF 1995 orange
T10k = Harrahs $1

Would be awesome, but I would have used Aquarious $1's instead of 96 hof and ditched the $20 chip. Not a fan of the UB $100 chip. Interested to se what you choose. I have a similar dilemma with some blue, yellow, purple and mauve solid rhc chips: Cali set or high denom tournament set..

Yeah I figured he'd want to use the HOF chips so kept it as the $1. Otherwise I agree with you. Aquarius $1 and dump the UB $100 and just have a purple $25
 
UB 100 is out. Scott needs to find me some mint spotted yellow chips to trade for the Aquarius maybe ;)

I really really like the GV 500, need another rack.

The acquisition of the Lt Blue HOF chippies almost renders the Aquarius as useless now. There is another rack of something Lt. Blue I saw in a prOn thread that I'll need to convince me. They need to come to America to be with their other friends...just sayin'

I think a color correct California Cash set is in order, great idea stocky. OK cali collector's, which colors are used for fracs in the Golden State?

Which chips are you thinking about ?
 
Great idea, waiting anxiously to see how this turns out.
Are you going to mill a recess on the chils or just label over?
Also if your looking for solids, I've got white starburst that I'd like to trade to do the same thing you're doing. White may not reall work well with the Harrah,s chip though.

I'm not sure if they would qualify as mint (I'm still a big newb) but they are in really good shape, much better than the starburst I bought from the chip room sale (and I'm noT saying the chip room ones weren't any good, because they were),
I'll post pics as son as I get a chance to photograph them.

Slisk, if you’re going w/ the Cali colors and are using the WSOP/HOF chips for $1 and $5s and are in need of more of those chips, I have more racks of those for sale… I think it’d be one sick cash set. Let me know.

If you can hold on to racks for a bit I'm still deciding about this one. History has shown that I'm powerless to someone dangling chips in front of me. I'll PM you

Quick photo of starbursts. They need to be cleaned no doubt, but in my total newb opinion they seem to be in pretty good shape.
I can email or PM you more pictures if you like.
