Looking for some ideas on what label design would look best for my frac. The picture below shows my current lineup. The Paris $1 will be milled soon (thanks Cole), and I need to settle on labels from Gear.

Here’s the link to my earlier post asking for frac recommendations before I decided on the Paris RHC $1s:

Recommendations for Fracs

The only frac label I’ve seen close to what I’m considering is this one:

I like the shape of that label—either something similar or a simple circle. I’m open to other shape ideas as well.

For the actual text/design, my set is a bit mixed, so I’m unsure what would be the most consistent approach:
  • $1 HSI – overlabeled as HS Cleveland
  • $5 HS Cincy
  • $25 HS Cleveland
This would be my first time ordering labels from Gear as well, so any tips appreciated.

As always, thanks for the help you beautiful people, and Merry Christmas.

I’d go hs Cinci frac so the locations alternate all the way up.

OR

Go Cleveland frac and overlabel the $5 to Cleveland too. Gear probably already has that label in the can: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/thre...80-overlabeled-as-horseshoe-cleveland.135486/

I like the faux inlay you’re getting. I don’t think it’s historically accurate but I always liked saw faux inlay for frac. Appropriate as it’s as if a fraction of a dollar was sawed off.

Ohio mixed set; you have Cincy & Cleveland, make Horseshoe chips from other cities (Columbus, Youngstown, etc)

I think I am just now realizing the label is always circular… took me a minute to finally see that.

And the label lays on the inside of the recess.

In my chips above, the $5 and $25 labels are actually just inside of a recess that is hard to notice.

Since the $1 is over-labeled, it is on top of the recess and goes all the way to the RHC mold.

Because the $.25 is being milled, there will be a recess and it will look similar to the $5 and $25, is that correct?

Thanks guys.

Editted: Nevermind. I think I’m wrong. I’m at least not sure.

a great way to make fracs is to relabel a $2.50 with the same shape and same color. you know it matches the set colors/label shape and they are available and not used enough IMHO.

Remove all faux shaped inlays and replace with decent label art...

I think I’m gonna go with the Cincy $2 label shape:

Fits what I was thinking and inspired by @sethwanab idea of looking at $2/$2.50 chips.

I like the alternating thought, kind of what I was thinking also since I’m from Cincy. @dizzyChipper
