Anthony Martino
Royal Flush
Hit the Seminole Hard Rock in Tampa on Friday after being away for over half a year and sat in the 6/12 Full Kill Omaha hi/lo game.
Saw a number of regs I used to play with, the game started off fairly slow with small pots. There were three passive stations along with two other players that weren't terrible, but were exploitable.
Was down $120 at one point, but just stayed patient. Did a lot of folding for the first few hours, then I'd pickup an A23x and of course the flop would come 8JK and I'd have to let it go.
But in the end my patience paid off, scooped a few pots, heads-up bluffed a guy off his high hand when all I had was a low because a flush came on the turn and the board paired on the river and I was firing all streets and he just couldn't call. Managed to book a $100 win for the 7-8 hours I played, so not great, but about 1bb/hr so it was alright.
One of my buddies who can get pretty grumpy kept whining about not having hands or getting run down by bad players, so I started playing this on my phone everytime he was crying:
He turned it around in the end though. I'll probably hit the casino again next weekend and continue the O8 game. Here's a shot of my stack
