Either this, or a blind auction. You can PM a specific group of people to submit their best offers to you in a separate PM by a certain time whilst setting a minimum bid and a reserve. Whoever bids the most gets the item.

My only problem that type of auction is that it can be manipulated by the host. I prefer all information to be had by everyone.
