Looking good man, didn't realize you had this large of a set. Glad the chips and plaques found a good home!

Keeping this thread alive. New pics coming soon. Come on PCF. I know there are more PCA sets out there.

Since you asked nicely.

I started out my PCA obsession by winning a raffle of 400 secondaries. Since then I have just kept adding on...

And lastly, a deck of cards and a dealer button.

Man, I just love this chipset. Simple shaped inlays, simple and beautiful colors and edge spots.

Hope to own a set of these someday...or something like them at least.

Secondary $25 is one of my favorite $25's I've ever seen and that sec $500 is the tits.

Not as big as some other sets that belong to PCF old timers, but it took me two years to finally find the high denom chips that I needed and complete my set...and I finally have a playable set :D

Nice set Dave. If you ever want to sell one or all four racks of the secondary hundos, please let me know.

Did we ever get a full list of the exact colours on this set. I’d be interested to see it.

Are the primary and secondary $0.50s the exact same shade of pink? I’ve owned both but at separate times and i vaguely remember the primaries seeming a more washed out colour.

Yes they seem to be the same exact shade of pink. I think it may be the lighter purple/blue spot on the primaries that give the allusion of being washed out maybe when compared to the secondaries. But if comparing same condition, they appear to be the same exact base color. I mixed both versions in my game and it was kinda cool to have them both used at the same time.

Thanks @72o

I was wondering if it an illusion caused by the brightness of the secondary spots.

I’m just excited to get a set of PCAs again. So many good chips in the set.

I am tempted to get another THC chip and murder it for inlay replacement for the $1s.

Have many people done this yet? Let’s seem some pics. There must be a few sets with relabelled $1s.

Yep, same here -- I had a rack of each, mixed together, and looked great. Same for the primary/secondary $500s -- I mixed 'em together for a very colorful look. Same base color on both 50c chips and both $500s. Only the $5 and $25 chips have different base colors.

There must be a few sets with relabelled $1s.
I just substituted Aztar secondary $1 chips whenever I was feeling particularly anti-RHC. The PCA secondary $5s were also a good replacement chip for the nasty beat-up giant inlay RHC Aztar $5s, too.

@BGinGA i do love the aztar $1 but they are super pricey and hard to come by.

I’m thinking down the track I might try to get hold of some jacks or Venetian $1s and rip the inlays our for replacement.

The blue AS dollars would work pretty well, I think. Particularly if using the yellow pca star quarters. I don't recall ever seeing anybody using a replacement blue $1 chip.

Here are the colors I came up with, but Dave mentioned the 5 and 25 had different base colors, so maybe I'm wrong, a starting point at least, need to revisit colors again I guess.

No, you're probably correct, Frank -- I was going off faulty memory. And thanks for chiming in; it's posts like these that remind me that I'm not the only --or biggest -- chip geek in this place. :D(y)

I know everyone has a hard time with the RHC $1’s, but I have a different perspective...

-they’re the originals/authentic
-they’re leaded
-they have texture inlays which most RHC don’t

Just love the PCAs for what they are including the $1 and stop over thinking it....

I’d much prefer the original over a pretend inlay replacement, label, or a random chip from another set...

To each his own I guess....

Same here...

James,
Have always loved your PCA collection. Never saw those awesome glasses before! Really really nice stuff! During tournaments when you get down to heads up do you have a mandatory Toast?
