Random midnight thought: since the texture of Paulsons is there because of the powderiness/chalkiness of the material, what if you took plastic or ceramic chips and somehow powdered the edges in a way that the powder actually stuck? If it could somehow be done, that could remove the plasticy edge texture of the Tina hybrid molds. Could even help with the slipperiness and spinners maybe?

The white Spartan chips I got a year ago (actually all of the colours) felt much better than normal plastic because of the powderiness, I presume this is the same sort of powder lubricant that China clay use as it did smell bad. But texture wise I really like them. Even after 8+ felts, the white chips retained some of the powder, which made them feel more legit, even though they are still ABS chips.

Has anyone thought about this before? I'd be kind of curious to experiment but what kind of powder would I need? And how would you even make the powder stick?

Hooker Powder obviously. It comes from freeze drying hooker juice.

Rehydrate it and apply during normal use

Guaranteed to make your chips feel like 25 yr used never cleaned real casino chips.

Everyone should just buy an RHC set instead of trying to replicate stuff through plastics and finagling.
I mean, when the cost is 10 X versus Tina for a 1000 chip set, bearing in mind exchange rate from New Zealand to US is not good, plus expensive shipping… hey worth a try right?

I mean, we oil chips, so why can’t we do the opposite? XD
