Hi,

I bought a used table to host, but it wasn't in the condition I expected.

How can I repair the holes in the leather and vinyl underneath?

I'm unsure who made it, but I assume it was made in China since the people I bought it from usually get everything from there.

I'd appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Recovering poker tables is something you’d eventually have to do, if you play often at least, anyway. How to recover your specific table depends on the table design. Pics would be helpful. I build my tables to easily removed the rail by taking out ten lag bolts. Once the rail is removed, you can easily see where the staples need to be removed for both the leather or vinyl rail and the felt for the table. I would strongly suggest buying a staple removing tool for the $4 or whatever they cost on Amazon, as you will have hundreds of staples to remove. It’s a real pita, but if you decide to just leave them and staple over, you’ve punted the problem and made it way worse for the next time you need to re-felt the table.

I don’t know who made your table, but chances are good you can remove the rail by taking out some lag bolts and then clearly see rows of staples. If the foam is still decent, you’ve likely can reuse it and just recover the felt/rail. If not, I use casinosuppoystore.com for foam. My felts are customs by BBO, but you can either buy bulk felt, like speed felt or have a custom felt printed by one of a number of companies that offer the service.

An electric stapler and new razors are helpful, too.

My apologies; I thought I had uploaded some. I've edited the post to include it now. Also, awesome setup!

With the use of vinyl glue...

If you don't mind a small visible patch you can always cut the hole a bit bigger, and a filler piece to the exact size. Then feed a bigger substrait patch in the hole and glue it in place as backing material.

Then glue in the filler piece and glue the edges and cover it with leather paint.

The most important part is to do this all wrinkle and bump free. So apply light pressure during the drying process with baking paper and a book on top. Clean as much glue residu up front.

Good luck and if this fails yoy can always unstaple the rail an with the help of youtube upholster it.
