Poker Games in Colorado (1 Viewer)

I'll be in Colorado for a few days in between Christmas and New Years, and was wondering what poker rooms are in the area. According to Poker Atlas, there are 4 in one very tiny area west of Denver and 1 in Colorado Springs.

Q1: Is this right? Are there any others?

Q2: And if so, why are there 4 in such a small area and hardly no where else?

Q3: I will be west of Denver at a ski resort so the 4 that are so close together should be doable. Of those, which do you recommend?

Blackhawk is Vegas of the Rockies, there’s a bunch of casinos big and small in the one area. Ameristar has the most games, and Golden Gate generally has some decent action too. Haven’t played at Isle or Lady Luck so I cant comment.

Know that all games are spread limit with a max bet of $100. There are a few fixed limit games but it’s generally 30/60 and nothing lower.

Yup. The best poker rooms in the area belong to PCFers!

For casino games, Blackhawk is the best.
Ameristar for cash games
Golden Gates for tourneys

If you are ever in the city during your time we can probably get a home game going too.

I would definitely prefer a home game over a casino game...especially with the infamous Colorado contingent from All-In at the Alamo guys!

While I will be skiing a couple of days, its not going to be a pure vacation, so I don't know when I will be expected to be certain places in the evening. Let me get the details from the boss lady.

If you get a chance you definitely have to play at one of their home games. Great group of folks! I would love to move there but hard to leave everything I have here at home!
