Pretty typical of micro stake home game with no real poker players.

If a few certain players don’t raise pre flop it can result in the pot limping full circle to a family pot.

From the button to small blind, what hands should I raise and what should I call with. Assuming it’s now limped around the whole table to me. How wide are you willing to raise

I’d only limp with hands in the blinds that flop well like suited connectors or one gappers. I would also find the amount that limpers start folding at. So maybe it’s a cold 10-15x pf raise. You can start with a standard 3x+1 more for each limped and move up from there.

My intuition is wide but most stuff I read says you want to be fairly tight. Usually these player types are not limping garbage and there is very real risk of being dominated, set over set, flush over flush, etc if you go very multi-way with sky high SPR. I might just fold 22-44 even how tempting it is to overlimp.

Probably something like 3! v HJ RFI is a reasonable range, overlimp the next couple pips down from that, and fold the rest. Folding a lot is fine. 10bb IP and 15bb OOP seems fine for sizing.

These player types, micro stakes apes with no real players playing in a home game arent limping garbage? I think they absolutely are, played last night. If no one raises, 7 people see the flop with ATC.

I definitely get you being worried about being dominated and folding a lot, sure, but my range would loosen depending on how they react to the bet. If I get 5 folds each time and have those blinds in the pot, a lot different than bloating it and hoping my flush is best flush.

If the whole table is limping, you should be ranging everyone as virtually any two cards. That said, on average there will be someone with a premium hand most of the time limping along with the rest.

What one should do depends greatly on how the table plays post flop ( this includes hero ) also have to consider who will call a stiff preflop raise. Same / same with stack depth - shallow enough and hero might be in a jam or fold situation.

Big meta game consideration - - - is Hero going to be that ass-hole that gets dropped from the invite list for pissing off the players who want a limp happy preflop. I have to such people in my invite list. The limpers bluntly say he goes or cash us out. Had half the table walk out one night and then ask for weeks if the lag player was invited - if so, count them out. Hero really doesn't want to get banned from this sort of game.

Tldr: it depends -=- DrStrange

I’d hate to play in a game where the regs wanted to throw a tantrum if someone played a no-limp strategy. I’m happy to limp along on occasion but if they are going to whine about someone simply raising and 3-betting more than they are used to, oooof.

Prepare to be berated everytime you raise
For real! I hear nothing but pissing and moaning since I always raise preflop when it's limped to me. "Why can't we just play and have fun?" Perhaps my friends would prefer if I hosted bingo games instead lol

Nick Wright has some interesting hobbies
Wow! I had to Google Nick Wright but that really does look a lot like him. It is actually Tom Green from the movie Freddy Got Fingered though. Man they look very similar!

Do they like to limp call or limp fold if you raise?

1: Limp-Fold
Since they're willing to limp but not call a raise, just start raising super wide when there's a ton of limpers and you're in late position. Something like 20~30% of your hands depending on position. Scoop up easy blinds when everyone folds out.

2: Limp-Call
Go the opposite direction. If you're getting called no matter what when you raise, there's no reason to try and bluff to steal blinds. Just wait until you get say QQ/JJ+ or AK and blast off with a huge raise.

Generally more important to focus on your raising range than limping range, it's where more of your winnings will come from. You can limp along for fun too, just make sure you don't get stacked when you make 2pair with 63s or something.

Most beginner hold-em players look at it like any other casino table game. “Put your bet down and see who wins at the end.”
They will look at your pre-flop raises as nothing more than you trying to interfere with their good time.

As far as playing with a bunch of limper/callers, your made hands (high pocket pairs) lose some value because you will be out-drawn more often. Your drawing hands (connectors and suited connectors) have more value because you will be paid off handsomely when they complete.
