Hi All
Some of you would have seen the discussions about a bulk playing card order.

I have finalised all artwork for bridge size and poker size.
the name on the ACE SPADES is tentative. Just wanted to see how it would look,

I have sourced samples from a chinese manufacturer.
The cards are .32mm PVC with a matte finish. The print is nice and vibrant and quality is great.

key points:
1. 2000 decks needed
2. price will be $3.50US per deck (need to finalise all shipping costs and details also)
3. i will require a US distributor

if we can get close to 2000 decks, we should be right.

hit me up with questions or anything else you feel is relevant.

Yikes no cream background on the non-face cards? I was ready to order 40-50 but not as interested with the current iteration.

Haven’t followed the other thread but I just realized the cards will not be made by King?

I believe @xdan has mentioned that he's going to run three separate buys. One that is in shipment now of stock King Australia designs, this one, and another custom buy with King card stock all spread out over the course of the next several months.

I'm interested in this if the card backs are as textured as they look and the faces are as smooth as the King stock is.

I do share @RocAFella1 's concern regarding no rectangular border on the numbered cards, whether they have a cream center or not. It looks a bit weird as is.

I'm still in for two of each color and size :)

2 brown bridge
2 green bridge
2 red poker
2 blue poker

I tell you out of the bat to send some samples to @Dix. He will test them and let everyone know. Your chinese producer must have some samples of his previous acomplishments.

Is there are reason why the cream back is a make or break?
Never understood the appeal. Plus they seem to be dime a dozen anyway.

I like this as it’s like the angel design and what I been used to at crown casino. It inspired me.

Gotcha that makes sense. I’d echo what @JMC9389 said. A borderless jumbo index just doesn’t fit my eye. And then if they are bordered, a yellow tint just takes card to the next level. Just personal preference I guess. I eased up on the King order hoping these would be the dream card but it’s your child so no worries at all.

Depending on the final price with shipping I might be up for a dozen or so, would be good stock for the Legion Post..... My only gripe is blue/red as a combo is getting old for me.

Blue/black, blue/gold, red/green, blue/yellow, purple/pink.... something.... ANYTHING besides red/blue.

Well... OK... I take that back..... orange/lime-green might be a tad puke-worthy.... but, anything short of that. :D

I'm interested, but I would be more interested if there were cream colored backgrounds.

Any possibility of adding more color options for the backs? Dix's suggestions sound good.

Thanks for the feedback.
I think I need to try and get some samples out though. The post is very difficult at the moment. But I will see what I can do.

A couple things stand out for an initial reaction....

I like the font used. Traditional looking-ish enough to keep that lot happy. Yet, bold & easy on the eyes for us aging, going blind, old farts that can't see beyond 2 feet for sh*t. Particularly the loop curvature difference between 8 & 9 that sets them apart from each other well. Nice choice.

Also, the "elongation" of the corner pips which exaggerates the upper & lower points. Which also tends to exaggerate the difference between spade/club & heart/diamond. Really nice touch IMO.

Of course, the fact that I'm not a big fan of Modiano/DalNegro's spade shape is not exactly a closely guarded secret. :D

Great work. Love these!!

And thank you for putting the beige color in the center area. That's ALWAYS been a design element that I love!!

Put me down for 20 decks please!
• Bridge/Jumbo

• 10 green
• 10 brown

If red/blue becomes available in bridge size, I will up my order quantities!

I received the sample that @xdan sent me yesterday and i've had a play around with them so that I can give some feedback.

First of all, I don't consider myself to be knowledgeable on cards at all, and i've never tried to review any before, but I've got setups of copag, desjgn, a plus, kings, bicycle ATM to compare them to.

Just to give an idea on my general card preferences, I don't like cards that feel too flimsy, and I'm not a fan of cards that dont have some kind of texture. For that reason I don't like A plus.

I just picked them up again and I must say that I like the feel of them. They have a bit of texture to them, glide nicely on my felt and shuffle nicely. They seem somewhat comparible in terms of their firmness to the kings/bicycles/desjgns that I have in front of me.

I like the orange backs, and I like the general circle square/grid design.

I won't really comment on the faces, as it's more of a personal preference thing, other than to say that it's not my favourite look. Im also a cream centre box kind of guy.

Here they are in the middle, kings are on the left and desjgn on the right.

Apologies for the rambling

Apologies for the rambling

Seeing it compared with Kings and Desjgns, I'm not sure I'm a total fan of the elongated font/pip, but it's not enough to make me change my mind.

That being said, those backs are sick!
